exercise

so im overweight...and i know it..food is very very important in my family its a comforting thing and i know it!..ao ive been exercising and its sooooooo hard for me ive been eating less and 500 jumpin jacks is alot but ivre only lost 2 pounds in 1 week so i feel kinda depressed but i will keep it up for the sake of skinniness...any comments or suggestions? ive been doing 500 jumping jacks and 2 miles on the tredmill......

Well hell be glad your losing some weight. And also you gota remember you are going to seen to be gaining more before you loss it...because your gaining muscle.

I have been doing the cereal diet...haha it works. Thats all i eat...breakfast and dinner...a bowl of cereal. And i workout for 2 hours every day. But i'm trying to gain more muscle back not really lose anything anymore.

But you gota do more then just jumping jacks and the treadmill...Sign up to a gym and get a trainer if you don’t know what your doing.

But you cant get discouraged and depressed…because it takes time. And don’t starve yourself cuz that aint going to do shit for you. Just watch what ya eat…do a nice workout…shit even a half hour workout will do. Just gota keep moving!

Stop pissing about with aerobics is a start... Thats bad medicine... A family member of mine became so obsessed with aerobics that she ended up with a potassium disorder... Yeah she went thin... Painfully painfully thin, she can't have children and her teeth turned to mush... She still loves to keep fit but now she knows her limits....

Try a glycemic carb diet... Cut out bread, pasta, anything starchy in moderation because your body needs all the food groups...

Try eating once every 3 hours, train yourself to do that, when your hungry and need a snack... Eat celery or tuna as a snack.

Fish is REALLY good for you, stay on with the red meat and chicken, try eating something starchy at the most, once per day, keep excersising though but again in moderation because you don't want to overdo it.

Its all about getting yourself on track because most people have a slower metabilism than others, having a faster metabilism is the key to losing weight so by eating small quantites once every 3 hours and being more active makes your metabilism speed up.

Go for walks and drink water if you are hungry after a snack and you need something to fill you up between the 3 hours. Not too much water but drink a little, not only will it give you good skin but it will also help with cellulite.

I must stress to you though, I am no personal trainer, I was however told this of someone who is actually doing this same thing. Build yourself up and get active, cut down just a little on fatty foods, eat alot of beef... Man the guy who is doing this, he makes a mean rare steak.... *mouth watering*

Oh yeah, and one other thing.... DO NOT EAT RICE.... He told me that was big no no and I have to tell you that by watching what you eat in moderation and keeping healthy, not only will you be eating the right food groups but you will have muscle too.

Oh yeah and here is a table I took from a book he loaned me, it doesn't have everything there because I am a lazy bitch and can't be arsed to type much more but take a look at it... Anything above 30, is pretty bad... But DO NOT cut any of them out of your diet, just eat less of them and keep active.... I hope I have been a little help to you....

ups meant 31 miles. i'm not very good on convertions...

and keep a steady pace on that bike like 15 mile/hour. or else it wont be much use...

you can excercise all day and night, but if you don't do it properly it will hurt you in the end. You should calculate how much you should be intaking on a daily basis and remember that is how much you should be taking in while working out. Your body is going to need the energy for what your working on. You can eat less and run yourself out, or you can eat properly and keep going. also remember to drink plenty of water or stuff like gatorade, or powerade while working out. like mine would be at the moment... 2033.3 calories a day when i start working out again it will go up 2443.1 calories a day...your best bet would be to keep it sligthy lower while working out, but always remember your body needs the nutrients to replenish itself.

At your age you should do the following...

Get out and enjoy life... just be yourself... have fun with your friends... and STOP worrying about your weight..

If you are not obese and are relatively healthy then stop being worried about it. If you lead a normal healthy life and keep active and don't sit on your ass all day stuffing your mouth with lard and twinkies then you should be ok.

Walk when you can, instead of sitting around with friends go and do stuff like swimming, biking or just walk around town or the mall. Instead of drinking soda, have water instead, instead of chips have an apple, so on and so forth.

It's not about radical changes, it's simply about living life and not always taking the modern easy option.

And yeah it's the bitch board so....
