Fallujah, Fallujah, Fallujah
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/ar...TICLE_ID=38775
In the wake of the U.S. Marines pullout, the Sunni city of Fallujah has become a Taliban-style theocracy, reports Geostrategy-Direct, the global intelligence news service.
And also, the shocker quote from this article:
Last month, Secretary of State Colin Powell said the United States would not object to an Iraqi theocracy.
---------
So wait, what happened to installing democracy? If we allow them to establish an Islamic theocracy in Iraq, then they'll barely be any better off than when Saddam was in power.
I think this will be the final nail in the coffin...Fallujah has already shown what will happen when the Iraqi's are left on their own (read entire article for details). Democracy where? Doubt it's going to happen for any length of time if Fallujah is any indicator.

*Note: I know the article is a little old, but to my knowledge nothing has changed.

It's from worldnetdaily.
I have a hard time trusting them...but a harder time trusting Newsmax.
Where are the threads on how Bush hasn't even spent close to all of the money on Iraq that he was supposed to...

I've found it on a few others...I only used World Net because it also had the Colin Powell reference...

Translation For:...
A neo-conservative idea, or representation of, "democracy";
Quote:
Secretary of State Colin Powell said the United States would not object to an Iraqi theocracy.
|
[/quote]
but then,..
its hardly suprising, considering George Bush's constant references to God..
Wow...
If a theocracy did develop in Iraq, then George could "really" say;
"God Bless Iraq"...
after all, a theocracy by definition is;

Isn't interesting how Politicans so easily do 'backflips' on earlier statements..
and back in 2003, they were 'claiming'...
Quote:
Houston Chronicle
April 25, 2003
The United States will not allow an Iranian-style religious government to take hold in Iraq, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Thursday in an interview with The Associated Press.

That's ok, when they were just coming into office, various members of the Bush administration said on several occasions that they didn't believe Saddam was a concern, and that he probably did not have WMDs.

And the natural response from some conservatives is that Kerry has done that...though there're only a few examples of that...
