frustration with product hunts

I put my hair into braids over a month ago, and now i'm trying to move from braids to dreads.

But...

Have you ever tried to find dread wax in texas? What a huge pain in the ass!

You need a specific kind of wax for them, yes. Its beeswax, with maybe some vitamin e, and not much else. No products that are going to breakdown and collect on your scalp. That would be itchy and yucky. I finally broke down and ordered from dreadhead. They seem to be the better of the products out there.

not braids, dreads. there is a difference. click the link in a previous post up there, and you'll see what they look like.
I don't have any pics of my dreads yet. As soon as i do, i'll post them.

They're a bit wild.

ah. They were just simply plaited braids. Nothing fancy or complicated.

I finally got a pic of me with my brand new dreads up in member pics. The picture was taken the night that the dreads were done. I did keep one of my braids though.

Glad you found your product... Here, local white Rastas just grow their dreads naturally, though they are constantly fiddling with their hair, to make sure they don't end up with just one big dread!

I play with my hair all the time. I've found, oddly enough, that building a bun by twisting one dread into it at a time helps them tighten. One will occationally work its way out of the bun though, inspite of how many hairpins i use.
