Norman bates was not scary at all. That is why the movie was great. You never saw him coming.

I always thought Chucky from Child's Play was scary.

The two that pop to mind right off are Chucky from the Child's Play movies and Michael Myers from Halloween...The first one...Not the others.

I swear when I was younger, those two scared the shit out of me.

john doe from seven would definitely be at the top of my list.

stuff like that scares me more than the more fictional type characters.

there's plenty of sick twisted guys like him roaming around this planet, that's something that's seriously disturbing.

I think some of the scariest characters would be the type who obsess over who they meet or something thats ridiculous...like robin williams in one hour photo. not to say that he was scary but it creeps me out.....stalkers who kill.... shivers

Yeah. But he's a cool, womanizing psycho.

Although I do not find John Doe scary, I do agree with the reasoning.

All these films that make out these big bad scary types just make me laugh. It those smaller film that you run across made by small companies where the 'bad guy' of the film is a normal everyday person who just happens to like wearing your face or eating you while you are still alive and not some Hannibal Lector look at me grr grr.

I also think it is so much scarier to watch movies based upon true facts and history, people like Nazi war criminals scare me. To think that such humans (if you can call them that) could do the things they did to others and yet only find a sense of pride in what they did.

Now thats scary.....
