I work out 5 days a week, and I eat fairly normal. I just eat more protein than most people, and I don't eat a lot of sugars and junk. Well, i try not to... Heh

I work out on a 3 day thingy. I work my chest, front shoulders, and triceps on day 1. Back, rear shoulders, and biceps on day, and my legs and lower back on day 3. Then repeat. I work my stomach and calves every day, because those muscles are able to do that. And as far as working out goes, I just work out with the heaviest weights I can safely handle.

what do you do for your workouts if you dont mind me asking? im looking for a new routine. i spend far too much time in the gym i know its bad..but i do it any way.

Here goes:

Day 1:
warm up
benchpress, 4 sets of 6 reps each
incline dumbell presses 3 sets of 6 reps
flat bench butterflys, 2 sets of 5
butterfly machine 3 sets of 6
standing up dumbell arm extension thingies (?) 3 sets of 6
cable tricep pushdowns, 4 sets of 6

Heavy squats 4 sets of 6
leg press 3 sets of 6
leg adductions(spreading out) 3 sets of 5
leg abductions(going in ) 3 sets of 5
hamstring curls 3 sets of 6
lower back extentions 3 sets of 5
go home


everyday:
stomach:
warm up with light situps
crunches using cable machine as resistance - very heavy weights
same thing, just turn to each side a bit to hit your obliques
incline situps done reaaaally slowly

calves:
warm up
calf raises 5 sets of 6


If you're trying to bulk up with muscle, don't do a lot of running or cardio. That's one thing I learned. It builds up your heart and stuff, but it also burns calories and energy that you could be using on heavy weights.

Take some form of protein after working out. It helps.

yeah..i have protein....eat plenty of it....im trying to cut get down..but i dont want to lose any more weight...im 6-0 and only weigh 170 right now..i pretty much do a lot of the same workouts...just varying some of the stuff . hmm..if you ever want to talk..my aim sn is sicness0298 suprising enough...im sure i have some more questions later

If you want to bulk up, the key is heavy weights. Simple as that. And work until complete musclulature failure. On your 5th rep of curls you should barely be able to make it. And do your movements slightly slower than you would thing neccessary. Arnold Schwartzeneggar always said it should take a minimum of 2 seconds in each direction when you're doing an exercise. 2 seconds doens't sound like long, but it feels longer.

If you want to get cut, here is what you are supposed to do before a cometition:

Eat lots of protein(preferable chicken) and as little salt as possible. No breads or sugars; your only carbs should be baked potatos and pastas. Drink lots of water, and starting a week before the competition, cut back your water so that the day before you are only drinking a few sips of water.

That's what i was told to do. It worked. Granted, I hate chicken and baked potatos now.

Just cutting back on your sugars and eating a little less bread should really help... but it will take your body a few days to get used to it and you'll be tired for a few days. yeah..i eat a lot of chicken..barely and carbs..no sugars or anyting, eat a lot of tuna...and drink a lot of water. gets to the point where you feel guilty eating anything else.
