Nervous Itch

This may sound stupid but whenever I get nervous I start itching and scratching and my skin turns really red and dry. Sometimes Ii make my skin so sore that some patches actually come off and make like really sore patches of new skin. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how do you cope with it ? I havent found anything that stops me from scraching or anything.

ouch! I don't really know what to tell ya. Have you gone to the doctor for that? Maybe they can give you some kind of medicine to keep that reaction to nervouseness down.

well when i went to work one time at wal-mart... i came out with the itches bad... i think it was because of the dirt... so since my dad is a doctor... he just gave me a shot... it took a couple of days for the shot to work.... but at least i have stoped itching... go to a doctor and get a shot...

I dunno when it started . I think its because I have always had sensitive skin and everything but I tend to just scratch sometimes like earlier I was talking to my friend and I just started scratching and my arm, I don't even think it itched at the time and by the time I got home from school this afternoon I was still scratching at it for no reason. It happens like all over like on my legs , arms, chest, everywhere ! I think that it is more habit than anything. I don't like going to the doctors, they may give you drugs that helf you get better more quickly but they are evil and I have a kind of thing that I cant spend too long in there cuz I get all light headed and stuff. God this makes me sound like such a weak little nervous person lol.

shy doctor comes in... man i feel like my dad at the moment... looks at you carefully... ok then i think that you should sit in a chair... have one of your best friends strap your arms down... then get something like a special kind of lotion... have them rub it on you.... i bet it would work like a charm..

Masturbation can help . . . Better you're privates be a little sore instead of scratching off patches of skin all over you're body.

For the rash I recommend wise-ways natural all-heal salve, the stuff works wonders.

Another big part is phsycological, try to find the triggers that make you scratch, and if you can anticipate the urge, exercise willpower, think soothing thoughts and tell yourself that it's all in you're head, I bet taking a shower when you start to itch would really help.

Half of the time I dont even realise that I'm doing it , like today I was scratching my hand for about five minutes or something stupid like that without even realising and its just weird. I'm gonna keep loading on the moisturiser and that shouls help with the dry skin but as for the permanent itching I'll just have to watch what I'm doing more carefully.
Thanks for the advice everyone
