Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history:

Only two people signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, John Hancock and Charles Thomson. Most of the rest signed on August 2, but the last signature wasn't added until 5 years later.

The term "the whole 9 yards" came from W.W.II fighter pilots in the South Pacific. When arming their airplanes on the ground, the .50 caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet, before being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, it got "The whole 9 yards."

The nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Rosey" is a rhyme about the plague. Infected people with the plague would get red circular sores ("Ring around the rosey"). The sores would smell very badly so common folks would put flowers on their bodies somewhere (inconspicuously), so that it would mask the smell of the sores ("a pocket full of posies"). Furthermore, people who died from the plague would be burned so as to reduce the possible spread of the disease ("ashes, ashes, we all fall down").

It was in my history book in 7th grade. You got parts of it wrong. Ring a ring of rosey-- rosey was a little talisman they carried to ward off the plague. So was posey, to the best of my memory. Ashes was actually a-choo, like sneezing.

The members of Gwar were all lawyers and paralegals that decided being members of a rock band that wear foam-rubber alien costumes and have an 8 foot working penis in their state set was a lot more fun...

Those are both hilarious!

The first Jurassic Park movie was so full of inaccuracies that paleontologist, Robert Burke kept bitching mercilessly at them. In the second movie, you'll notice far fewer inaccuracies. You'll also notice that he plays himself and gets eaten by a big dinosaur.

Not for sure, but there is a small reasonable explanation for blushing:

As we get nervous/embarassed out heart picks up a small pace. With this the cappilaries in out fase are pushed full of blood, and cause a tint. The yearbook staff over looked a few "incorrect" stats but added the funny wrong one. yay for them.

Never trusted thouse damn school newspapers. Its pretending to allow freedom of speech. (shut up)

No, no...that's an average. For example, I personally only eat about 1.8 acres of pizza a day. Silly nooB...

That's crying. No one knows why people cry.

As for blushing, I'm sick of the topic. I had to do this report on critical essays on John Keats. One of them was about 6 long pages full of nonsense about blushing. I didn't even bother reading it.
