Oklahoma City was cooler

You have to admit it, when that big building in Oklahoma City went down it was much cooler, real old-fashioned anarchist terror, not suicidal plane crashes from the guys who sell you slurpees at 7-11! Oklahoma City was the coolest, nothing will ever touch it, more people might have died in this shit, but we knew Oklahoma City was coming, it was the line of tragedy that ended with Columbine, all surrouding Hitler's birthday, everyone knew it was gonna happen, just not why or how or where....

Cool? Never.
Interesting? To you, maybe.

To me, the World Trade Centre was an icon of the United States-- my mom used to work there when I was younger & I spent a good deal of time in it. It had always been, to me, a huge part of what America was. Its destruction took a part of me with it.

The Pentagon, though I'm not very familiar with it . . . OK, not familiar with it at all-- it was still a huge part of the whole American image. Aside from that, some seriously important crap went down in that/those building/s.

Oklahoma State Building? I had never heard of it before it was destroyed. Except for the loss of life [which is not even comparable to that of the World Trade Centre et al], I couldn't understand why the country was so damned upset [keeping in mind that I was in the 5th or 6th grade when it happened].

yeah, the world trade center and pentagon are some of the most important things of the united states. I don't actually know the function or what the oklahoma state building was used for.... think of the symbolism and the importance not the coolness of how it got blown up or whatever.

COOL??!! Not the word I'd have chosen, either...

Anyway, over here the majority had probably never heard of Oklahoma, let alone Oklahoma City when that attack took place. Everyone knew of the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon though, as well as their importance as key symbols of US culture/power etc. Believe me, this time around it's far, far worse and far, far more important .

Symbols? Who cares? People died thats the important part.

This is more interesting than Oklahoma City by the reactions of NATO to the terrorist threat.

exactly. i had never thought of the wtc as a symbol of america... i hadn't heard much about it before the plane crashes anyway.

and to duchess, i reacted the complete opposite of you, i was more shocked to hear about the pentagon than the wtc towers because i know more about it.

i still can't get over how many people died though....

I read this article in Playboy about the Oklahoma City bombing written from McVeigh's (sp?) view. It was pretty fucked up. Fiction of course, but interesting, nonetheless.

That's nothing-- I read an article in the Weekly World News, last year, about how Timothy McVeigh was a virgin & that women had been lining up by the thousands to be his 'first' . . . it had a picture of his face superimposed upon the face of a Chip N Dale dude. As if that weren't bad enough, it gave you phone numbers & addresses to contact if you wanted to be among the thousands of women . . .

What if you just wanted thousands of women lining up outside your door instead?

You sick, halfwit degenerate

You name is half right.

Taking the life of an innocent other is very wrong.

First of all, if it is wit that you assume I lack then you are wrong, however you are entitled to your own opinion, though you may think taking an innocent life is wrong I disagree, I am a sadist, sadism is an opinion, which I am entitled too. Don't ever judge me.
