I love Soils self titled album. It’s one of those albums that doesn’t have a bad song on it. I found thier album to be better then thier live performance. I saw them at Ozzfest years ago.

That VAC song reminds me a lot of Marilyn Manson.

I assume you have heard of bands like Static-X, Type O negative, and Fear Factory. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head that would even be close to industrial goth type stuff.

Along a heavier vein, how about Rebel Meets Rebel or Damageplan? I’ve been listening to a Suicide Silence and Trivium a lot lately.

Nice! I've been a Prodigy fan ever since I first hear Fire Starter.

For something entirely different how about some Swedish rap:

Hmm . . . all that emo fag shit aside . . .

I'm a metal junkie, and I'm constantly looking for new bands. So here's quite an extensive list . . .

For your viking/pagan tastes:

Metsatoll (folk metal from Latvia, all about lycanthropy)
Aes Dana
Hollenthon
Agalloch
Darkestrah (good band, album/song Epos is one long song)
Adorned Brood
Arkona (Russian folk/pagan with a bad ass chick singer . . . very good band)
Alkonost (like Arkona, but crappier)
Battlelore (total folk metal sell-out shit)
Cruachan (Celtic folk punk/metal)
Drudkh
Finntroll (total folk metal sell-out shit)
Lunarium (local band from Ohio . . . troll metal)
Svartsot (best howler-growler I've heard in years)
Echo of Dalriada
Equilibrium
Moonsorrow (the absolute fucking best at Pagan metal . . . check out the album V: Havitetty. Alot of their songs are 30 minutes in length; or check out their EP Tulimyrski, which they do a cover of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica)

Overall, I prefer black metal . . . especially depressive black:

1349 (until lately, they were pure adrenaline satanic biker black metal)
Absentia Lunae
Ancestral
. . . And Oceans (techno-ish/electronic black metal)
Azure Emote (avant-garde black metal . . . fun stuff)
Blood Red Fog (my absolute favorite depressive black metal band)
Burzum (of course, he's a murderer, he has a reputation, you already know him)
Coldworld (my girlfriend's favorite depressive black metal project)
Cry of Silence
Fear of Eternity (my latest obsession, listening to him right now)
Forest of Fog
Graveworm (best black metal cover ever: "Losing my Religion" by REM)
Hecate Enthroned
ICE
Isthar
Leviathan
Lunar Aurora (perhaps the best ambient/atmospheric black metal band ever)
Morgart
Nocte Obducta (their song "Und Pan Spielt Die Flote" is one of the best black metal songs ever)
Nokturnal Mortum (i love, i love, i love!)
Octagon
Thy Light (music to kill yourself to)
Wedard
Weakling (only good black metal band to come from the United States)
Xasthur (more music to kill yourself to)
Wykked Wytch (female fronted black/death . . . and that chick can howler-growl with the best of them.)

And I have lots of other bands to list . . . but that's a good starting point. However, as always . . . my absolute favorite:

Macabre (murder metal)
Acid Bath (and all subsequent Dax Riggs projects: Agents of Oblivion and Deadboy and the Elephant Men and Dax Riggs)

And last but not least . . . The Tiger Lillies!!!!!

I'm hoping age has nothing to do with it. Nice to see someone appreciates Steve Earle though.

Just saw Tool for the sixth time at A.P.W. in Jersey City. I also went to see these guys. They sucked, but back in the eighties I imagine it was something to behold. Big influence on Radiohead.

Echo and the Bunnymen- Killing Moon.

Dude i would love to listen to that coming up on X. It's so chill, but industrial and tribal at the same time. I'm on some uppers so i really enjoyed it. Electric organ ftw. Remember that time we did those yelo sharks at that new years eve party? We listened to the whole aphrodite cd that night. I was like, why is everything purple?! Ill never forget when u gave me the helicopter and i was blowing up on the couch and you got close to look at my eyes and i could only see your face through this little circle at the center of my vision, like i was looking through a microscope. And then you said "yea he's gone" and i could hear it through like 384 million different ears. And just you saying that blew me up even harder.

Heres a new re-remix they did of ready or not. Its more bassy and dubstep, less jungly tho. Im a fan of this one just cuz i love bass and dub. coming up on shrooms listening to this is sweet. You have to listen to it with either surrouns sound or headphones to really get the pan effect
