Like most of the story? Most of the witticisms? I'll tell you, I was quite disappointed with the film.

Most notably, for me, was the part with the Babelfish. I loved the explanation in the book, where it is said that because the fish is evidence of an intelligent design, it proves God exists. But because it "proves" God exists, it disproves his existence because God is based in faith, and therefore disappears in "a puff of logic."

I knew that they were going to have trouble fitting all of the stuff from the book into a two-hour movie. Oh well.

Finally, I've seen it. I liked it. It kept most of the cleverness from the book, and was very entertaining. I laughed on more than one occasion. Looks like there could be a sequal with the way they ended it. I really would like to see The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I hope so much that they make it. Oh, and yes... I brought my towel.

(that sounded a little off for me, but I just woke up so give a girl a break.)

i think they were planting seeds for franchising... perhaps his cult will have something to do with HELPING the people of krikkit carry out their plans.

Mm, yes, that makes sense. I'd be willing to see "Restaurant at the End of the Universe" but they'll have to do justice to my favorite scene in the book, when they talk to the meal of the day. That part will make or break the movie as far as I'm concerned.

Screw the book, I hate reading. The movie was mildly entertaining, but got kinda cheesey towards the end.I find it hard to believe that the british created the earth.I liked the robot though, he was'ent always funny, but he was cool at the end.

Beuraucratic, dogmatic, systematic, poorly designed and around for 10 Million Years, of course the British built the earth.

I think a lot was lost from the book and there were some glaring continuity errors but it was otherwise okay.

That was Bill Nighy. A British actor obviously, but you might recognize him from Love Actually.

I loved the movie. There were obviously elements from the book left out, but I think it is great they added so much. I guess the way I see it is its great to hear the old jokes from the book, but even better to hear some new good material from Adams.
