Nope, I just consider the amount of attention given to the Super Bowl, a basic football game, to be over the top. You see whole hours devoted to just talking about who "might win" and then afterward there are long conversations about how the winners won and so on and so forth.

It's like the Super Bowl is the single most important thing to happen each year, even though the amount of money funneled into it is excessive and the amount of attention for just a football game is extreme.


Or maybe I'm just not impressed by big guys running around tackling each other for a ball.

It happens enough, and quite a bit here actually (LA) maybe not riots in the large sense, but fires and mild looting/vandalism. Some people like to take advantage.... that's why it happens.

Anyway.. I was for the Panthers, being from the Carolinas and all. I thought they played a decent game, given their inexperience. Most of their mistakes can be chalked up to just that... their lack of experience in post season games. They made idiot fuck ups that cost them the game. The Patriots simply played better. Didn't stop me from crying in my cuba libre, though.

The Panthers beat my Rams therefore I would not allow them to win the game.

Nothing's definite in politics. The primaries have only begun.

And now the poor repressed/repressing americans are screaming how it's horrible their children may have seen a woman's breast while watching a program based on violence..
But the violence was ok cause it's a sport..
