Sorry, I have seen the way people turn out when religion is pushed onto them.... It kinda sucks... Like watching a brainwashed member of charles manson sing freaky jesus songs....

i mean it's wrong to push kids onto religion, let them find out what they believe in, if they show interest in finding out what my religion is about i'll tell them, otherwise let them decide

So if you are religious, what are you supposed to do with your kids when you're worshipping? Find daycare? Like I said, you're not pushing anything on them, you're raising them as you want them to be raised. It's a parental perogative.

but i would never force a kid to visit the church every sunday, unless he/she wants to
and yes i'd even pay a babysitter if you wanna know shadowborn, i don't want to raise my children in a strict (sometimes fanatical) religious way

I was taken to church every sunday when I was little, and I'm damn glad of it. I want to be a priest now after going through several years of total disillusionment.

No one has the right to push their beliefs on to another. People should believe in what they want believe but should keep their beliefs to themselves & not enslave others.

but see, you have had to find out for yourself what you want to believe in and to be, isn't it so?

Following this chain of logic, it is wrong for parents to teach their children any sort of moral code or system of ethics, because they should keep their beliefs to themselves, and simply let their kids act however they choose...

I still say religion should not be imposed on others. And most certainly not children..

In my opinion children should be introduced to religion so long as it isnt just one of them. I wouldnt try to convince a child that what I beilieve in is what they should believe in, in the same way that as a adult I dont like people doing that to me.
I`d rather see a parent teach a child about empathy and compassion than any morality based mythology, as I would think that this would both allow the child its freedom and prevent him or her from rejecting a moral code which is in a large part made by themselves.

I wouldn't know I'm not dumb enough to want to bring a kid into this world.
