Allow me to reiterate my point since you don't understand it: Being that if there is a solution within means that functions while harming the least amount of people, those who disagree with that solution should be prepared to take measures to help enact a solution that is more productive: Rather then advocate for a solution that would cause more problems.
How did I ruin my argument with that statement? I couldn't have stopped people from being killed in Iraq no matter what I did but the topic of abortion is a very intimate, national issure. Abortions happen everyday where you live so there it should be easy for pro-lifers to adopt these un-wanted children, thus easing the socio-economic problems created by un-wanted pregnancies. Or even better, end poverty and educate the lower classes . . .

Billy somehow has more power to stop abortions than you have to stop genocide? Didn't you say that he has no right to protest something unless he's prepared to fix it himself?

My argument is simply that you should be prepared to do something to save unwanted children up for adoption if you don't approve of abortion. Become a social worker, adopt a few of them who you have no personal investment in or family ties to. something.

Well.. why don't you become a lobbyist? Or work for any of the civilian agencies that provide relief and aid in the Middle East? Or stage a protest? Or do any number of things? Don't ask people to do what you won't do yourself.

So again.. how is an opponent of abortion supposed to stamp out all abortions in the country? How is Billy supposed to redeem his viewpoint and adopt ALL the unwanted babies? Isn't that what you said? That he needs to become a social worker if he's going to oppose abortion?

That's exactly my point: He can't! So the best thing to do is to do what he can for those that are living and suffering. If he became a social worker he would be in a position to help un-wanted children get placed in Loving homes and he would also be in a position to educate or stop those who have un-planned pregnancies and abuse the un-wanted child. You know what would happen? Less abortions might occur after he gets involved as prospective mothers with un-planned preganancies might feel safer having such a great, compassionate gentleman as Billy looking out for them and their un-wanted child. Its a far better solution then condemning me as a ghoul on an internet forum and bleating that abortion is a bad thing.

He can save every kid in Connecticut and never touch even the tiniest percentage. Your argument is ridiculous. I lived alot my life in foster homes, boot camps, and mental institutions and I can tell you from experience that those children who are not actually adopted by a 'foster parent' with one or two children go to a foster home with like 12-35 children, the people who run these homes are typically money-hungry, dont feed you that well, plus your in a house with 30 other people it sucks especially if you hace an opinion you will get beat. However I do not regret my life and I would have rather had it as opposed ultimately to my own demise. I do promote small household foster parenting/adoption.

social workers can't do much more...overworked and underpaid, and a suprisingly high amount of, poor decisions that resulted in tragedy, for families...there's no real solution as to what to do with the children no one wants...they all aren't the perfectly newborn baby.

the fact is, that children have too little value in our society...even those who are against abortion don't seem to care about the unwanted children that aren't the ideal adoption age.

without abortion, how many more children would end dumped in a dumpster, abused...that's what i don't understand...all they seem to care about is the child that, isn't even real to the mother for the first few months, after they're born...they don't care, anmore.

before the abortion issue can really ever be resolved, there has to be a serious adjustment to our social system...and understandings made that abortion is a side affect to a much more serious issue with the state of the world.
