Well If we do nothing to change it then in time it will only become worse, it will become more accepted and more accepted until finally we'll be legally killing three, four, and five year old children for what did you say? Population control? Financial reasons? We as human beings possess the power to end this, even to prevent it all together, yet we do nothing. If you don't want your child then put it up for adoption, maybe it will have a crappy life jumping from foster parent to foster parent, but how do you know that the child wouldn't prefer that to death?

Firstly should be the freedom of choice. What a lot of people often miss is that once you decide, or opt, to restrict choice you open up the field for further restrictions based upon the same premise you began in.

Methods can be discussed after the main subject/argument.

Like Capitol Punishment, it is legal, yet its methods are always being discussed.

You are forwarding an argument on the assumption I am stupid enough to accept that just because someone postulates a positive agreement with something makes one a murderer who will eventually begin doing nightmarish deeds of absolute evil.

I only recently became involved when one of my best friends got an abortion for the simple fact that she could. I am so disappointed in her that I will not ever speak to her again and it actually hurts me to think that I was looking forward to seeing the child, touching and holding it and hearing it's voice. Now the child's remains lay splattered across the same waste refuge that my garbage get's taken to every monday and thursday afternoon. The life of that child was short and unfulfilling, interupted by utter heartlessness and disregard for human life.

It was her choice. As was yours to ostracize her. Both of you must live with the consequences.

i thought partial birth abortion was only for extreme cases...like birth defects, the mother's health, etc....or is that just in certain states?

In 1989 my mother almost died 7 months into my sister's pregnancy because she was literally killing her, back then they refused to perform abortions after 5 months so she had to pray instead, my sister is 16 now and very healthy. Im not sure what partial birth abortion is but it sounds prty gross.

Actually choice is the problem. If youre performing a partial birth abortion youre literally killing a whole human being, you have to literally suck out the babies brain and flatten its skull to get it out. Thats how formed it is.

Facts is facts, that procedure is performed VERY late and youre killing a human being. I dont believe that a 1 month olf bundle of cells are a person, but when its kicking in the womb, has a brain and is formed. Then its murder plain and simple.

My brother was born 4 months early. I cant IMAGINE my life if my mother decided hey lets pop his head and suck his brain out because it might be inconvinient to have another kid.

Partial birth abortion is basically the only real murder in abortion.

Its when the fetus isnt actually a fetus anymore but a baby with a brain and body that kicks. They call it partial birth because what they do is pull the baby out of the womb up to its neck, then they insert a needle into the back of its skull and suck his brain out and flatten its head. Ya know so the woman doesnt have to actually "pass" the baby. Its really no differnt than murdering a 9 month old baby as its halfway out the womb.

Do you realize what an undertaking it is for a woman to carry a child and then give birth? It's a financial strain, a strain on the body, a strain on the mind.. Do you think choosing to have an abortion is an easy decision for most women? That we sit back and go "Oh damn. I got knocked up and that means I can't go to Spring Break. Better suck the brains out!" For most of us it's a huge and upsetting decision, and one that's agonized over forever. And afterward the "oh what have I done" feeling sets in. I've already said I condemn women who use abortion as a form of birth control, however not all women are the same. Not all situations are the same. They should NOT be treated as such. To outright ban abortion is ridiculous.

Just as it's my decision over whether or not to use birth control, it's my decision how I deal with the consequences of that birth control failing me. I can tell you're not very informed and that this is just a parroted tirade without any real substance.

No, its not that simple. His opinion has been formed by his own personal experiences. After having his mother give birth to a sibling under risky circumstances he has developed a misguided view that every woman is capable of giving birth when this simply isn't the case. He should ask himself how he would feel about abortion if he had lost not just his sibling but if his Mother had also died because of the fact that her doctor refused to allow a partial-birth abortion to be performed?
Those are the circumstances where a partial-birth abortion is performed by the way; No woman who considers abortion is going to wait that long to have one performed and I'm sure that few doctors will agree to perform one without a reason where the infant's quality of life is in question due to deformities or the Mother could possibly die.
Nothing is ever that simple, not even birth.
Consider the case of rape; suppose a little girl is raped and finds herself pregnant as a result. However, her body is too underdeveloped to reliably handle the strain of giving birth. Could you force that girl-child to carry her pregnancy to term for any justification knowing that a child would all but ruin her young life and possibly end it? Now, suppose she does carry it to term and it is found as she goes into labor that she will indeed die if she attempts to pass the the fetus through her womb. If you were her doctor, would you make the choice to conduct a partial birth abortion to save her life? or would you wait until the last second while they both die?
These are just the most extreme scenarios that I have outlined, like I've already stated, nothing is ever so simple that you can apply a narrow-minded solution that over-steps the bounds of reason and reality.
