I am really not trying to provoke anyone here. I am not insisting that the upcoming query is in any way suggestive of fact.

However, can someone tell me what that white structure is in the lower left? Cause to me it looks like a house. The picture's of such low quality, the structure could easily be much bigger than that, and my orientation and mental geometry is just being thrown off by the noise and resolution... but it still looks like a house.

That's what might be implied if it is, indeed, a house. However your mention of it being Saddam's personal compound is just as possible (albeit a little less likely).

It's not like I'm going to go parading the picture around as proof, even if we all agreed that it was a house, as there's so much reasonable doubt against it.

It just struck me as a house and I wanted to know. What looks to be trees in the background corroborate my assesment of it being the same size of a house.

Screwed up thing is, it looks like a house from the U.S. with a main two story building and a little garage on the side... Looks like we're looking in their back yard.

But it's terribly unlikely there would even exist such a home in that part of the world. U.S. housing is benefecial in U.S. climates, not the middle east. I honestly don't think it is a house. I'm just saying, it looks like one. Wanted to see if you thought the same.

You can't really say if that's a house or not by that picture. They are bombing saddam's personal shit, so I would say it's either one of his palaces, or some building for one of his guys under him, or something military-related. That's just my guess.

I don't think anyone actually thought that a bombing of Bagdad would not destroy people's houses. Don't bother with "might".

Allied bombing did, after all take out the fucking Chinese embassy in Beograd. Innocent people (and their houses) will unavoidably suffer.

That being said, I do believe the U.S. army is doing their level best to minimize such happenings. Let's just hope it's worth it in the long run.
