I've done that once, to Dyshade, because Dyshade repeatedly ignores my explanations of why he's wrong, even when factually indisputable about points, and it's incredibly frustrating..

I have yet to call you anything of the like. I don't like insults in a conversation because they're generally pointless. When I disagree with someone, I try to explain exactly why.

The nature of my life is such that I have spent much more time reading and much less time talking than most people, so that my vocabulary is slightly different from others. Generally I only express myself as I feel comfortable speaking. It's true that I do strive for words that precisely articulate what I mean, which are often relatively large or obscure.

This is a transparent feint, because if I fail to find any such samples I am again simply being "blind to my own arrogance" or some other bullshit excuse. If I am constantly insulting and condescending in my posts, it should, as you say, be an easy matter for someone trying to prove thus to illustrate simply by quoting my past handful of posts.

Here I don't call anyone an idiot, much less simply in response to disagreeing with me. Here I suggest that perhaps Billy is a fucking moron, not for disagreeing with me, but for claiming I said things that I never said. This is also in response to Billy's response which includes the line,

Wow, this is old. For some reason you've linked to a page I didn't even post on, so I had to go back to refresh my memory.

In retrospect, yeah, I was kind of being an asshole in this thread. To some extent Dyshade was provoking it in his usual manner of pretending to engage in intelligent debate with someone, then ignoring anything they've said that runs counter to what he wants to believe, but at the same time it was unnecessarily antagonizing and didn't really solve the problem at all, only exacerbating it.

I said that Friend, who had been spamming the boards with random threads about the evils of the Jews and ignoring anything else anyone said, was an idiot.

I stand happily by that conclusion.

I'm going to go ahead and rule that five year old threads are irrelevant to whether or not I currently act like a dick all the time whenever someone disagrees with me, for what I hope are very obvious reasons.

I would hope it was obvious that I was referring to the relevant past, and not saying I have only once in my life called someone an idiot. Moreover, your statement was about my insulting someone simply for disagreeing with me, so whether or not that was why I insulted someone is highly relevant to this. My insulting someone who has been insulting me, or who is essentially spamming, is not consistent with your claim. The simple fact is that as a current matter, I don't insult people for disagreeing with me. I may have done so in the past, but it's certainly not relevant to this discussion, and you only bring it up because you want to divert the attention from where you're simply wrong about the original argument.
