1. What are your religious beliefs?
Currently, I don't have any religious beliefs. If you would like to know more on my view about faith and religion, there is quite a long post from me concerning that in the thread 'why not faith?'
2. How did you come upon it or how were you exposed to that religion?
I guess my experience from life leaved me 'faithless'. I had been a christian once but that changed. I was exposed to christianity through Bible of course, as it was giving some explanations at the moment, but at a certain point it stopped making sense.
3. In what ways does your religion work for you? and why?
Since I am not a member of any religion, I cannot answer that.
4. Do you believe that anyone who doesn't follow the same religion is 'lost' or 'confused'?
Speaking of my views instead of religion - no, I don't believe that. I cannot be sure that my views are absolutely correct too.
5. Do you feel the need to 'convert' other people?
Hmm, no, I guess. Though it is nice to meet people who have similar views on religion, I like learning more about others as well, as it helps to complete my own puzzle.
6. Do you communicate better with believers in your faith or non-believers?
I guess I can communicate with members of any religion quite well, unless they are constantly trying to enforce their beliefs on me.
7. Can you say that it is possible that your god(s) doesn't exist?
I don't have my god. If there is some kind of greater power, I think humans do not have enough knowledge about it at the moment to be sure.
8. What makes you believe that your god does exist? what proof do you have?
See answer #7.
9. Do you practice your religion everyday?
As I don't have my religion I can't practice it everyday. I dig for more knowledge instead
10. Is your family of the same faith?
My father never speaks of his faith, and I don't think he has any. My mother is not sure about her beliefs too.
11. Have you been discriminated against simply because of the faith you chose? If so.. how?
No religion in our country has enough power to do it. Never I have been descriminated for what I think, but not really a lot of people there are, with whom I shared my thoughts.
12. What does your religion state that happens after you die?
I don't have knowledge about that
13. If it was possible to sit and talk to your god(s)/goddess(es) in person. What would you say to them and what would you ask them?
Since I don't believe in any particular god/goddess, I will talk about a hypothetical situation, where I learned that humans were created by some greater power and I would be able to talk to it. I think I would ask "Why have you created us and what were you doing before that?" Maybe something different, but that would depend on what I know about that greater power.
14. What does your religion say that you can NOT do?
No religion - no rules, heh? No, not exactly. I may not have faith, but that doesn't mean I don't have any morals. Generally, I try to treat people with some respect and try to be kinder to others, when it is possible. I feel better myself that way. Can't name anything specific that I cannot do, but I am quite sure there is a lot I wouldn't.
15. How old is your religion? (please include references that you base your answer on... if you can't do this.. just skip this question)
Again, I don't have a religion. My views formed in my own head, based on experience, but I am quite sure some of it has pop-upped in different people's minds before me.
16. Do you agree or disagree with federal leaders being able to inforce rules and regulations concerning religion?
I do not like when people try enforcing their beliefs on others. Everything else comes from that.
17. Do you feel that federal leaders are bias towards certain religions?
I don't know how about in other countries, but here religion does not play any major role in politics. Our main religion may be Christianity (we have several branches here, mostly catholics and orthodox), but I am yet to feel our political leaders, being biased to it.
18. In Canada, channel 9 is the Christian channel.. so far I have seen no other religion based channels on basic cable (1-28). What do you think would be the response of the public if channels appeared specifically for religions such as Satanism, Paganism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism etc.? ...and What would YOUR response be?
We have a Christian channel on radio, formed by some newer branch of Christians. I wouldn't have any response if other's would appear, but I think the public could have. I think people's response here would be separated, and depending on what religion would start their own channel. Some would be better accepted (like Buddhism and Judaism), some would be not (like Satanism, Paganism, as a lot of people have really few knowledge about it and generally have fear of new religions and cults, as they have fear that they children may be converted into one.). But some people wouldn't care.
19. How do you feel about civil wars based on religion?
I really don't like it.
20. Do you have feeling of hate or great dislike of any particular religion(s)? If so which one(s)?
To any particular religion - no. To some followers - yes. I dislike it when some religion's members get hostile to 'non-believers'. I encountered such people mostly from christian and islamic religions, but I also know a few people from those religions, whom I like. Some religions appear to be more biased to violence towards others, but it is usually a choice the followers make.
