I could be wrong, but I think what some of us are saying is that we discarded organized religion per se in favor of more of a more free thinking approach, in my case, somewhat eclectic as it might be. I know for me, I would rather make my own decisions and be able to adjust my beliefs as I see fit, and I feel quite comfortable with that. I am tolerant of other religions and wouldn't really hate another person because of it regardless of how I felt about it in most cases. If someone chooses to follow the religion they were raised in, that's a non-issue with me, with the exception that I feel it's better for the person to have come to that conclusion themselves and through blind acquiescence. I worry more about people who never question anything.

And yet, what you practice would still be a religion. Just not an organized religion for the masses, but your religion.

I believe there is some divine power (for lack of a better description) behind the chaos that we call this world. I don't know what the power is called or how to worship it or even if it wants to be worshipped. I don't know how paedophiles posing as priests and serial killers posing as Sunday school teachers can lead your soul to salvation - or even if the divine power wants to salvage you. All I know is that if God created me, He fucked up pretty bad.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I believe that the Sun and Moon are powerful Gods who should be worshipped accordingly.... and feared.

for one thing i was never taught religion. there for i know nothing about religion it's self. as well as how i don't even know what the fuck i am in religion. but at least it will help me to open up and see what other different kind of religions their is and i'm open to anybodies belief system. though i don't want to. because i don't feel like it. the reason for that is because i don't think i need religion to defind who i am as a person. though i believe it's possible to live life without religion. all i have is morals. with morals i believe that i am alright.

I don't consider myself a religious person at all. I wasn't baptized and my parents never forced religion on me. I don't beleive in God or Jesus, or heave and hell, but I do believe there is a higher power.I think that if there was a god there wouldn't be so much crime and violence

Yea, I'm even confirmed in the Catholic church. Ah, weren't those fun times...throwing fits cause I didn't want to attend religious education classes. Doing it just so I didn't have to listen to my grandmother bitch. She isn't THAT devout anyway. Mum didn't seem to care that much, more so my grandmother wouldn't bitch at her too. Interesting times those were. Now I'm hesitant to define anything about my religiosity. Can't really say where I stand but I refuse to go the route of agnostic or atheist because I don't think that's true either. No doubt I have certain elements of Catholicism carved into me for life. I feel it every day, but I don't think I want to affiliate myself with the Catholic Church. Nor do I desire to affiliate myself with any major religions, specifically Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All three have pushed the boundaries too far for my tastes.

But bleh. It's late and I'm tired.
