But you believe it's there. I mean, we have pretty darn good evidence of stars, galaxies, planets, nebulae, the vast expanse of interstellar space.... but I mean... a Universe? Proving the existence or nonexistence of the Judeo Christian God is rather like proving the existence or nonexistence of the Universe.

no i don't believe in god. because i don't know if he does exist or not. i need proff in order to believe that god does actually exist. without proff its hard to believe in him......... as far as the universe goes i'm with ziggy on this one. i don't believe that god has created it. but at least i know that universe is there and that the universe does exsit. but doesn't know how the universe was created though. nobody can explain about the existence of the universe. but this is what i happen to think about when it comes down to this subject.

another thought came into mind. if god "created the universe and life existence." what the hell did satan create?

satan is no more capable of creating anything than you or i. maybe refashioning what exists though. satan's an angel that went his own way, and was the first to consider that idea.

if it's God, it's the same as refusing the existence of someone you've met and gotten to know well.
this isn't proof for you. as far as you know, i'm mistaken, or mildly insane. my life can be evidence, sure, but not proof. i still offer that as best i can.
the only way this serves as proof to you is if you too felt this.
that in itself is something i wouldn't talk about unless i knew you were willing.

Because it's more functionally real to me than any other "this explains all" reasoning I've ever heard.

I like to believe in Jesus,and god, in the sense that I am referencing the creator of mankind.Just look around, and look at other people and you'll wonder. Why are we here? is this it? there has to be more.Why are we so advanced, while the neanderthals were shacking up in caves,and grunting?Theres some other aspect to the human.You can see it in the eyes,if you just look.It doesent look like an ape.We might resemble something apelike, but there is definately a secret ingredient.Another aspect. That is god.I dont know, I just get that feeling. That i know that there is a god.I feel the bible,and all that stuff is not 100 percent accurate. It just doesent feel right, it doesent feel like the entire truth, its entirely too vague.

I used to think about "why are we here?", and "what's the purpose of all this?" a lot, for many years.

Then I realized that it's pointless. No matter what the answers to those questions are, I still have to go to work everyday, and try to enjoy life as best I can.

So I don't think about it anymore, even when I see a thread like this.

God breathed life into man. His own life. that's what "in His image" means.
we can literally begin to act like, feel like, and love like him, given that he is actually present in a life. not just "believed in".
