| War on Saddam Hussein... -

...should not be a war on Iraq.
Removing Saddam Hussein is not a job for the military, its a job for the CIA and some Iraqi's that would like to see Saddam go.
Remember what happend to Ceausescu in Romania after the Berlin Wall went down? That is the way to get rid of Saddam Hussein. Yes but if they don't know what is happening how can they ber told, all you know is what you are told. ALl they are being told is that the U.S. is picking on the, they happen to make little mention of the usage of Chemical weapons on the Shi'a and Kurdish populous. The breach of weapons resolutions and the insitance of inspectors is used as the white devil interfearing in the muslim affairs. They think Hussein is a hero because they're constantly told he's a hero. They don't see the U.N.'s POV. the only way is to get control of their press and media and TELL them what to think
Hell it works in the West.

However, Imperialism which allows them to make their own decisions regarding democrcay is better then Imperialism where another country comes in and chooses the group form which the new leader will come.

At least aside from implication, they dropped regime change as an outspoken policy.
I mean, isn't the whole thing about making certain they are disarmed, and if the aren't, forcing disarmament? Wouldn't that imply that the sooner the inspectors go in, the better? Why is Bush holding out? Iraq even said that they'll allow inspection of presidential palaces. Go in, and the burden is on Iraq not to make one false move. I'm wondering at the hesitation for Bush to ok it. Really makes me think he's wanted war all along, regardless of the inspectors. And that's what I disagree with; Saddam dying won't magically bring peace to the area; the only way you can even control who DOES come to power after Saddam is by setting up a puppet government, which is back to the imperialism dig. And we've found in the last century, imperialism comes back and bites you. It has alot to do with the religious ethics they have in the countries of the Middle East. For them it is not just a religion it is a way of life and for some Saddam Hussein is their prophet.
The war on Afghanistan was different- the country was almost defenceless apart from a few hundred thousand Al-Qaida fighters, but Iraq has nuclear weapons.
Its scary. The Middle East is very volatile and needs to be sorted, but war on Iraq I do not think is the way. A golden energy
Was rising out of my head
I shed my evil skin
And found myself again I was wrong, I don't mind
The impossible seems possible
This time I'm an electric wire
If the sun can radiate then so can I

i think they should go down there and eliminate the world leaders that keep instigating violence between their factions...one man won't make a difference just an example...leave those who want to cooperate and replace those that aren't...ideally they would let the people choose their own leaders...however the american government is as greedy and selfish as these other nations...and aside from our freedoms...i don't think it will make a difference to anyone but those that are seeking glory...it's the people ultimately that have to want peace..until then world leaders are just taking advantage of an unfortunate situation...whatever pursuits they may hope to gain from it...i don't think a war is an answer anymore... not really Neon, last i checked Bush and Blair were securing thier own nations interests as well as the interests of other nations. Petty squabblers in the middle east who only seek to destroy rather than to play ball is CLEARLY what JOrdy meant.

Blair securing his own nations interests? I think you should check again. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

I agree with the French consolite. This thing between Sadam and Bush is a personal vendita and should be settled in a duel. The two whole nations should not be dragged into this. But honestly, everybody knows that Sadam knows how to use a sword. Bush would be luckly just to hold one properly.
