Not shocked, just dismayed that the opposition was really that severe and it happened anyway...

I think it was a good idea we did this, we brought down a regime, that was horrible, disgusting, and many other words to describe bad things. We did these people a favor, becuase they couldnt do it themselves.

I don't honestly consider popular opinion a worthy measurement for doing things. I also think it's likely that the questioning for that poll was biased (aka, "Do you think it's right for the US to arrogantly flaunt every other nation in the World and invade Iraq without justification?" and the like, rather than an objective phrasing.

Most of those countries are run by tin horn dictators like Saddam Hussien. Europe is populated by socialists who want the UN to become a world government, so of course they don't like unilateral action by the USA. The Arab world, well we know the "Arab street" so its about time they feared US.

And what about Ecudor, India, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Uraguay, Australia and Argentina? Do you have some horribly uninformed and reactionary thing to say about them?

well, America is run by a tinhorn dictator, as Sixgun said. Michael Moore sent a request to the U.N. asking for help to oust our ruler, I hope somebody does come through. Bush is destroying this country, and other countries, too.

Anyone that says America will never be invaded or overthrown is not thinking logically. This is still a young country, look through the history books and you will see countless superpowers so to speak that collapsed. And what would be the reason for this; growing imperalism, a beleif that the country will be around for ever, and growing distrust from the citizens of such country. 1984 is not such a far fetched idea.

I do agree, that america will lost it's high and mighty status sometime in future, not sure sooner or later but it will because yes super powers rise and like anything else fall. Two, the accuracy of polls is not exactly accurate, does it indicate how many people polled where they were located, age range? As far as I know polling is taking a small percentage of people to REPRESENT a larger amount of people, so unless you decide to poll the whole united states..which is most unlikely ( alot of our population doesn't even vote for the president who's going to want to do a poll and we're the "democrats") we'll never know who gives a shit for sure. Also, there have been shitty presidents throughout history, it doesn't destory the country and yes there has been heavy opposition to wars in the past as well, president eventually one way or another is not president anymore we get a new one and soon we really do forget about how fucked up it was. We're going to end up like modern Europe sooner or later....just without the pretty buildings, and a big lack of self identified culture.
