You sounded like someone that works for Al Jazeera the way you were talking about US forces in Afghanistan. When you get callled on it, you then flip over to say that you support our being over there.

You saying we left Afghanistan to go into Iraq? Where do you come up with that? We got alot of Spec Ops teams working the Afghan-Pakistan border right now. Its a regular bug hunt.
My sources have informed me that alot of the M-14 rifles were brought out of mothballs to be used by designated rifleman for Afghanistan because of the long range engagements in those mountains. The M-14 rifle is 7.62mm and has more reach than any of the M-16 variants which use a smaller 5.56mm round.
There have been allied troops going over there to relieve American troops as well. So I don't see where you get off saying that we have left Afghanistan.

Odd. I thought before we had a well-balanced mix of people with different opinions, who may have been rude and insulting to each other, but could at least articulate their arguments. Apparently it's better to have a clamoring horde of conservatives.

dammit I just lost all that I was going to post but ultimatly what I was going to say is that I don't care if I sound like Al Jazeera or not the problem needs some addressing. There IS an American force of 9,000 over in Afganistan at present up against only a fraction of that but not nearly as much of the promised aid to the civilians has been delivered. The situation still has to be completed and more attention has to be given to it. It is mostly up to NATO now though so we actually have left on it except for help in searching for Al Queda soldiers that are still residing in the country. There are successes and failures (mostly in diplomacy and starvation of civilians) over there that don't need to be addressed as problems that are going to be solved but that need serious looking into to get solved and I really think that US interests have shifted ahead to Iraq. And the great thing about not going off pride is that if I am wrong then at least attention has been devoted to another problem. Supporting us being there and recognizing what still needs to be done seem beyond you though for some reason. You are right on the far left control of radio as well but Rush and O'Rielly are just the opposite. There is no medium on it like there should be. One side sensationalizes and the other intentionally insults everyone. They are both pointless and worthy of my earlier comment.
