I was pleasantly impressed with a new book purchase...it's The Urban Primative by raven kaldera and tannin schwartstein.
With a triple goddess of squat(for parking), skor(finding used things) and skram(warning of danger) and a triple god like slick(smooth talking), screw(for carnal pleasures)and sarge(for inititive) it's a very practical and modern approach to the traditional witcheries i adore....it has a lot of the same general open belief system, but altered for a more urban lifestyle, focusing on commonly found weeds, rather than the traditional herbs...city totems(includes silverfish, cockroaches, pigeons, feral cats and other city animals)ritual piercings, and even suggested uses for such choices, meanings of the various areas and even adornments to exude what you want to express....i know this sounds more like a book report than and actual discussion, but it was a very witty book with a nice open approach to a craft that...needed a little updating...the city folk need a chance at being able to revel in their worship choice rather than spending time and money searching for more traditional approaches to witchery...even dealings with spirits and cyber magick!
