don't shoot the messenger... Quote: U.S. Unloading WMD in Iraq
Monday, 15 March 2004
Scoop News / Mehr News Agency
Refer: http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/WO0403/S00181.htm
TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) ? Over the past few days, in the wake of the bombings in Karbala and the ideological disputes that delayed the signing of Iraq's interim constitution, there have been reports that U.S. forces have unloaded a large cargo of parts for constructing long-range missiles and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in the southern ports of Iraq.
A reliable source from the Iraqi Governing Council, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Mehr News Agency that U.S. forces, with the help of British forces stationed in southern Iraq, had made extensive efforts to conceal their actions.
He added that the cargo was unloaded during the night as attention was still focused on the aftermath of the deadly bombings in Karbala and the signing of Iraqâ??s interim constitution.
The source said that in order to avoid suspicion, ordinary cargo ships were used to download the cargo, which consisted of weapons produced in the 1980s and 1990s.
He mentioned the fact that the United States had facilitated Iraq's WMD program during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq and said that some of the weapons being downloaded are similar to those weapons, although international inspectors had announced Saddam Husseinâ??s Baath regime had destroyed all its WMD. The source went on to say that the rest of the weapons were probably transferred in vans to an unknown location somewhere in the vicinity of Basra overnight.
Most of these weapons are of Eastern European origin and some parts are from the former Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc. The U.S. obtained them through confiscations during sales of banned arms over the past two decades, he said.
This action comes as certain U.S. and Western officials have been pointing out the fact that no weapons of mass destruction have been discovered in Iraq and the issue of Saddam's trial begins to take center stage. In addition, former chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix has emphasized that the U.S. and British intelligence agencies issued false reports on Iraq leading to the U.S. attack.
Meanwhile, the suspicious death of weapons inspector David Kelly is also an unresolved issue in Britain.
| Interesting story to say the least...
No WMD appear to exist (to date) within Iraq ->
So would the "Coalition of the Willing", import some weapons into the country, just so as to support their (original) claim for needing to go to war.
I suppose its either a case of; Hypocrisy or Conspiracy "aeterna veritas" eternal truth Corporate Greed...

Tch.
Point out please how Iran is a "Terrorist Country".
If you can not then do not instigate that it is.
As for this article, as is the case with most of what JLB, Lawson and his many multiple personalities(I'm just kidding) post I must be sceptical as to whether or not it's actually correct.
However if this is correct, and all of a sudden America locates a bunch of WMD's in the southern area of Iraq then we'll know that America has been conspiring in order to try and prove that they're right.
The finding of the WMD's should come in around September/August/Octoberish..
Yup.. (\ /)

And Bin Laden is scheduled to be 'found' either on July 4th, or the day before the election. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

Of course, instead of going after proven countries that harbor terrorists, we went after the only country in the region that didn't aid them. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

Give me a list of intelligence budget cuts, what exactly was cut in the intelligence budget, and the voting by GOP/Democrats. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

Meaning, you have no evidence to back up your claim. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

Has no evidence and lies about it. Yes, Bush is the candidate for you. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

I stated:
Iran is against terrorism yet supports terrorism
That's what the article says, if you actually read it.
You said:
Iran is for terrorism, and supports terrorism.
Which is wrong according to your article. (\ /)

Ah, but if you'd looked into information posted on another thread you'd know that a defector from Iraq who was part of the weapons of mass destruction programs/whatnot said that Saddam destroyed them all. (\ /)

Yes..I'm sure someone who destroys weapons that are one of the few deterrents they have against civil war, incursions by other countries and so on and so forth will openly show to everyone that they no longer have the weapons which were forcing people to keep their distance. (\ /)
