All right Clearwitch - we were talking for an hour this morning, I was shuffling the cards... thinking about you guys...flipped one for myself. Temperance came up.

That's some freaky odds, if you factor in the number of cards.

If I try to turn over a card for myself I always get the how to play poker one.
Ok so I`m really just here to add to Gargs "Read me too" plea, just needed more filling.

To tell the truth - I am kind of scared too - I only think it's working so well with the four of us is because we are so close.

I don't know if I can do the same thing with other people, well except maybe Aet, because I am close to him as well.

But the bond between me, Clear, Asm, and Mord is very strong... so it makes sense that if I can do it with anyone - it would be them.

Clear and I are pretty freaked by some stuff that we were doing in PM, we have to figure it out...

Better yet. A deck like that is a tool. Craft one yourself for maximum efficiency. But heh, I'd have to learn tarot first... Seems a pretty easy thing 'tough.

For me, it'd prolly be a rather modernised deck... Something along the lines of The Magician becoming The Hacker or such... Eh. *is confuzzled now and trottles off*

Tarot (for self use) is a very personal matter; I would never let anyone choose one for me. However if a friend who has known me for years and knows the way of Tarot were to give me one of course I would accept it and also know the right choice was made. I own five Tarot decks, I have bought them all for myself. A professional Tarot reader buys his or her own Tarot, this is their profession, believe me they are not going to sit back and wait for a friend to one day think of giving them a deck so they could do readings.

When buying a new Tarot deck (as with crystals or any fetish-<not in the sexual connotation but obviously used in its original context> objects) it is imperative to cleanse the deck and charge the cards afterwards. That will personalize ANY deck, whether bought FOR you or one bought by yourself.

As for not allowing anyone to touch your cards, well that is a personal choice obviously. Professional Tarot readers however allow their clients to shuffle the deck used, that way your energy can be absorbed by the cards and you establish a subconscious link with the energy of the cards. It makes for a better reading simply because your energy is directly involved.

Tarot for personal use, of course you can allow people whom you choose of course, to touch your cards, they will not suddenly become unusable, and all you have to do if you have done a reading for a friend is to do a cleansing of the cards after the reading.

An important thing to remember is that the cards are an extension of you; they are not a separate entity that could do a dance and hat trick on its own. Tarot works on the principle of our Higher Selves. It is a MEDIUM through which, like Anninn alluded to, our Higher Selves communicate with our conscious selves.

The Fool

Well as I said to you this was the card I expected since I even starting thinking about asking for a reading, without even knowing the meaning of the cards themselves.
As far as the meaning goes I feel I was once like that but probably am more in deserts of materialism now.I`ve been interested in magick for a while now.I dont feel I`ve been given those opportunities yet so I naturaly havent thought about a new path.

As to what a card in MY deck represents.

The Empress

The pregnant Empress is in reality the Lady of Dragons, one who communicates strongly with Dragons and patiently waits to give birth to new things, just as the Dragon with her patiently hatches her eggs. These new things may be the result of magickal spellworkings, concious goal-planning, or spiritual striving. The red robe is the warm color of vobrant life; the designs of eternal Celtic twinings, starts, and moons symbolic of the interconnectedness of everything in the Universe. As the empress gazes up at the Dragon, she laughs with sudden happiness and realization that she has a friend to help her on her astral journeys, This aid will extend to her magical endeavors and everyday life itself. The Empress holds a bouquet of Red Roses, symbols of new cycles in life and rebirth of the self ad the Empress learns more spiritual and magickal knowledge. The small dragon on her shoulder is her companion and familiar, her intermediary with all things astral. It's green color symbolises growth, properity and renewal.

The Hanged Man (suspended activity)


A man hangs upside down over a deep rocky chasm, one foot tangled in a vine. He is making no effort to free himself. He has forgotten that magic or change does not work alone, but requires his action and purpose. He makes no effort to touch the rocks, the source of primordial power and energy. Behind him, a waterfall (universal possibilities of primal matter) provides protection should he fall, but he is afraid to trust in spirit and the knowledge that he has learned.
