I'm over the zero-tolerance shit, I have to deal with it. They us the policy for rules they don't even have in place. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

well i agree with most of what is said in here.. it is bad when a school suspends a student for speaking native tongue.. he speaks perfect english in class. I am glad the father stepped up and did something about it.

Don't pretend your country is all happy butterflies and fluffy clouds. I'm fairly well-versed in the happenings of the rest of the world.
"A number of race hate incidents had occurred over the past year, including the vandalism of Muslim places of worship in Auckland and letters of abuse being stuffed with pork and sent to Wellington Muslims, he said." http://theage.com.au/news/world/nz-p...500941776.html

Oh yikes. So they stab people to death instead of shooting them. Yeah.. that's hardly savage at all. 14 stab wounds is soooo cosmopolitan.
"Karl Hanson received 14 wounds, including stabs to his liver, heart and bowel and a slash extending from his left ear into his neck muscle when he opened the door for Southon at the Ngaruawahia home he was visiting on October 6, 2004" http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/st...ectID=10360293 In Memory of the Busby Babes :

Mmmm pork.
Not to venture back on topic, but one thing that does influence the debate a little, is that I believe the school where this occurred was kind of like a reform school for troubled kids. That may have been the reason for the harsh punishment, and though I don't think it justifies it, it does help explain.

Yeah.. it was mentioned in the article that the kid went to alternative school. As a former (albeit brief) student at alternative school, I can vouch for what kind of environment it is. I watched a kid stab a teacher in the hand with a pair of scissors. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

I can see all of the protecting the staff measures such as scanners and searches and prohibited items of clothing etc.
However speaking spanish is not offensive....do we know WHAT they were saying?
EL "I've oft been told by learned friars
That wishing and the crime were one
And heaven punishes desires
As much as if the deed were done.
If wishing damns us, you and I
Are damned to all our hearts content.
Come then we may at least enjoy
Some pleasure for our punishment..."

In my country if you speak english it's ok. A teacher can come and say: "well, very well, you speak english" or if the teacher doesn't want a kid speaking english he will say "don't speak english please". Thing that never happens.
It's totally absurd and a very exagerated patriotism. | Deme? That's one I've never ever seen "Night, do not look for him." To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

de is a form of the verb DAR which translates to GIVE. ME translates in this situation to me. GIVE ME. Deme un dolar. GIVE ME A DOLLAR. questions? I have nothing to say and I'm saying it

1/4 of the populous has spanish as their 1st language, is this right? In Wales, where this is also try (althoguh Welsh rather then spanish) all road signs are duel marked and it's commonly acceted.
This is just stupid.

i know some spanish.. i am even teaching my daughter who is going to be 3.. i am also teaching her sign language.. i think because of all the people speaking spanish that she should know.. the sign language is because well i want her to be able to know incase she happens to run into someone that is deaf or mute... If some child feels comfortable speaking spanish to another one that knows spanish i think they should be able to.. like it was said earlier he wasn't doing it in class he was in the hall on his own time.
