value systems were built into religion not built from religion, in other words morality, or atleast the idealogoy necassary for a group of beings to function toghter existed prior to any intruduction of christianity. Those values have always been in place. Relgion in all its forms in mordern times serves as a point of decentsion of the worlds peoples due to the extremetest that follow the letter of the "morality" which for the most part has been perverted by the various worlds relgions.

Wrong, it was relgious belief that created morality. Morality didnt exist before it, you can tell because the 1st morality started with our non human ancestors who were still evolving, they came from animals and thier 1st act of morality was to bury the dead with thir favorite posessions, or food. Because they thought they would need it in some afterlife.

Religion was developed 1st, the morality came after.

What we have today for moral ethics are the results of 1000s of years of religious influence. Not natural instincts, in fact morality usually goes against natural instinct.

you are correct about natural instinct though. we would have needed moral concepts to work as a group, which by the way we working togther long before we buried our dead. The concepts of afterlife and worship would most likely have come into being after morals, although you could argue that we, as a species, had not defined what morals were.
