What's the deal with religion in schools? Sure they say that you're not allowed to do that, but schools sponser all kinds of religious crap. They have little Christian meetings, and yet you can't wear a wiccan sign on your t-shirt. What the hell? Talk about anout favoritism.

The only reason that church and state are supposed to be seperated is due to how it's a freedom of religion place.
If your school has religious crap happening, then you do not have to do any of it(and if they force you, you can get them in deeeeep trouble).

However, I do not mind if someone shows up and prays while at school, so long as it doesn't disrupt a class.

As an attempt to undermine the school's authority, I shall hold a Wiccan meeting, at the school. It will be highly promoted, and if they give me crap about it I'll tell them that it is my religious freedom to do so. Besides there's really nothing they can do about it, unless they decide to cancell all of the religios shit too!

wearing any kind of religous clothing was fine at my old school, from a pent to a cross, no problems with any thing like that at my old school so wear what you want untill they ban wear crosses and such.

Hmmm, they only teach Christianity in UK schools, which is a shame. If they're going to teach RE then it should cover different religions. And it shouldn't be a subject you have to take. It should be optional.

there are a few pagans at my school, and we haven't gotten any shit for wearing pentagrams. however, the school won't sponser any group that is contraversial. we have to do fundraisers outside of school.

I don't know gow it is in the US, but in norway, where i live, we have religion in school. The government claims the subject will include other religions than just christianity, but... it doesn't, and if the parents disagree to what their children are being taught, they can't take their children out of the class. they will be sent to prison if they do so. what do you think about this?

I think it is about time that Norway woke up and came to understand that far from being the dominant religion in the world, Christianity is only one of the big three. And not the best, in my opinion. Start a movement.

In Polish schools you can choose between Religion (catholicism) and so-called "Moral science" (ethics)

When i was in gradeschool, there was a different school-system, so the parents could choose to teach theirs children christianity or send the to what mephisto talks about: ethics... which my parents did.... then we got a stupid government and education-minister...

I started the atheist club at my highschool. The only discrimination I faced was having to change the name to the Freethinkers Club.
