Please DM, tell us WHO is objective... would you call the Network reporters in Iraq whos new company signed contracts with the Pentagon (for censorship purposes) Objective? Have you heard that a comment was sent out by one parent company... Viacom i think... to its news companies to stop broadcasting Anti War demonstrations because it affects thier bottom line?

Or maybe Fox is objective..ya know the Cheerleader of the government? perhaps Cspan or CNN are objective...even though they all have contracts with the government to go easy on anti war rhetoric in order to keep thier reporters in the company of the platoons IN IRaq... oh wait thats another isisue... the reporters living in Iraq... theyre LIVING with the american soldiers...how good is THAT for being objective?

i wonder where our journalists might be staying with?
for some reason, i think they'd more likely to be staying with iraqis than americans. but not sure of that.

theyre literally staying with the american soldiers... you can tell because they are always seen with them, signed contracts to stay in thier immediate protection for a price, and refer to the coallition as "we" and iraq as "them" not very objective for our journalists id say.

American forces are already in Baghdad, sufice to say that we are winning though Iraq's propaganda minister would say otherwise.

Yes, were in the middle of Bagdhad, weve proclaimed victory... i cant wait until we let our guard down to see that were surrounded completely... theres NOTHING funnier than an over zealous government proclaiming victory and that it has control of something it does not... the US was in VIetnam for a while proclaiming the war all but won when the Tet Offensive cut the country in half and put the US on its ass.

The Vietnam "War" was a problem more due to a lack of political effort then anything else. It was the Tet Offensive that got the president looking for a way out - he understood the significance of it.

Our troops were simply not prepared for the entire situation, either. The military made many tragic mistakes...

im suggesting more the amount of over optimism right now by the media. were in bagdhad *cums* were not even stablizing the area we take over... ive heard on the news 50 times that weve taken over certain towns that indeed were NOT taken over only entered. And then they move the troops on to a new location.... correct me if im wrong but in an invasion its VITAL to hold the land youve already taken otherwise whats the point? you can just punch into the capitol and proclaim victory and think youre going to set up a new government..... it wont take. You need to occupy the entire country put in a government and hold it in place until it has its own legs to stand on. whats happening now just goes to show the game americas been playing for a while, get to the oil fields and prize that we want and screw what happens in the res tof the country. Were going to take what we need and easily leave the rest behind. And if NOT then were creating major problems for ourselves down the road a bit by not holding what we capture.
