Pro Rambelings... - 03-22-03

Our Power, money, Army, and leaders are the reason we are able to fucking LIVE how we want too within a certain boundry and if your slick you can even step out of the boundry a bit. Why do you people think SO many people from all over the world come here?? Because McDonalds rocks?? Fuck man I can't believe that people would disect the reasoning just to put us down. I don't really care why...as long as we aren't fucking just slaughtering innocent people for absolutely no reason at all I'm down. I am so down with this war I could dance on the sidelines in a fucking black cheerleading skirt topless and twirl a fucking fire batton screaming, "AMerica is coooming you better get on your kneeeeees muther fuuuuuckeeeerrrrrrs!" I fucking cracked a police officers head open with a cell phone and I'm not in jail or dead because...he was wrong...we ARE "Just".... sometimes...I LOVE AMERICA!

Put it this way...if you have teams in a sport like say Football or Soccer...if one team really wants the championship it's not just to win...it's for thier fans too thier people want a reason to drink and be merry...to celebrate. Some teams are stronger and want that victory...for themselves for their fans the people plus if you win you get a cool trophy sometimes money. We are that team but we don't cheat and we're not a nasty team...I mean basically we follow the rules...we care about the other team as people but we want the win. So your not gonna trade your strong players and your not gonna let the other team take the best uniforms (oil) by taking control on the sly and pushing us out of the league by spiking our water or some shit. Hell NO we wont' GO!!!!!

Leave the girl alone man. Shes done nothing wrong.
And the only thing ive seen you do on this forum is shoot people up the ass for their opinions.
Well guess what, thats another part of being an american...
BEING ENTITLED TO YOUR OWN FUCKING OPINION!
AND THE RIGHT TO CHEER YOUR COUNTRY ON!
AND EVEN THE RIGHT TO BOO THEM!
So quit snuffing people off for having their own opinion.

Furthermore, I may not be liking Mr. Bush...
But he is sticking up for our country and the rights to saftey that its citizens are entitled to. He is also sticking up for the Kurds who have been terrorized and slaughtered without mercy by Saddam. And Saddam's very own people who he has brutally tortured and slaughtered without remorse. This fight with Saddam was going to happen either way. Whether in the future, or now. It was inevitable. The whole world either knew it was coming or was totally ignorant to it. Im probably right when I say we all knew it was coming. While war is never a good thing, if Saddam stayed in power, there would be far more innocent people dying than there would be casualites in this war.

And Iraq DOES have those stockpiles of chem/bio weapons and other things that they are not allowed to have under the UN resolutions. Im not sure about the nuclear weapons, but thats a very good possibility. When this is all over there is going to be alot of people feeling really stupid about scrambling to defend Iraq on that issue. Once Saddam is gone, and the weapons are found and destroyed like they should have been, the whole world will be alot better off. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not. There was absolutely no way that this could have been done peacefully. Nomatter what anyone says, that is utter bullshit. Just so you know im not some war monger, and I dont condone any wars of any kind. But there are alot of crazy people in the world who hurt people for no reason. Saddam is one of those people.

Gaia impaled on their horns and their lances
the fumes from her body give chase
As the strong of blind men savour the scent,
dream dead from prosaic and hate

-Epilogue-

"Sunwind strokes the Electroheart,
ignition roars through the corridors
stream launching the binary vessels"

Vanities in extreme formations
ride into tommorrows rigid great face
the machinary outlives the futile scripts
of our dying Jester race

Ok corporate pig ass sucker, I AM in school. I'm a junior in college this year, my father shares my views...he has his doctors degree and is a retired Major from the United States Army. There are many educated people who share my views because we actually live outside of fantasy land and realize that there are certain things that just need to be done to insure our freedom...the way we like it. If you don't agree than it's your opinion but it does not make you more educated.

I've read so much about the history of all countries envolved...about what led up to this...I've read about many other wars...I've studied and studied it...I've looked at the different views and perspectives with an open mind and this is still my conclusion.

You can't judge a person's intelligence by his/her grammer. You can only judge the grammatical skills. So just because she isn't the best typist in the world doesn't mean anything about IQ.

I think only about 1 1/2 people on DF follow that rule.

And I'm not sure about the 1.

hee hee... You fucker head I am actually a very lazy writter. I have a Writter's refference right here on my desk and I know what's up...I just chose to save the mad grammer skillz for when I'm writting essays and research papers. Wich I'm pretty good at when I put the effort into it...even though it gives me the biggest stress headaches of all times I've won several scholarships from my essays and this is what is helping me to pay for school.

I'm not white dumbass. I'm 30 with two daughters and I started school after my first daughter was born two and a half years ago. I'm a housewife that will make more money then you buddyboy and being a housewife/student/mommy/intern doesn't make my opinion less important than yours. The rest of what you says describes how most of the educated people in the US feel about the nonsupporters and thier violent "peace" riots.

For the antiwar freaks - 03-24-03

To Be Answered By Anti-War Bloggers:

1) If you were President of the United States, what would be your policy toward Iraq over the next year? What advantages and disadvantages do you see in your proposed policies versus the current path being pursued by the Bush administration?

2) Is there any circumstance that you can conceive of where the United States would be justified in using military force without the support of the UN Security Council --- or does the UN always have a veto against US military action for whatever reason?

American and British military force has allowed Northern Iraq to develop a society which, while imperfect, is clearly a freer and more open society than existed under Saddam Hussein's direct rule. Do you agree that the no-fly zones have been beneficial to Northern Iraq --- and if so, why should this concept not be extended to remove Hussein's regime entirely and spread those freedoms to all Iraqis?

4) Do you believe an inspection and sanctions regime is sufficient and capable of keeping weapons of mass destruction out of the hands of the Hussein regime --- and should this be a goal of U.S. policy? In what way is an inspection/containment/sanctions regime preferable to invasion? Civilian casualties? Expense? Geopolitical outcome?

5) What, in your opinion, is the source of national sovereignty? If you believe it to be the consent of the governed, should liberating Iraq from Saddam Hussein's regime be U.S. policy? If so, how do you propose to accomplish this goal absent military action? (And if in your view the sovereignty of a state does not derive from the consent of the governed, then what is the source of sovereignty?)

1. Bush' policies to date have only served to enrage the muslim world, alienate the US from the UN and make the entire world wary of trusting Bush who has shown that he will disregard the will of the world (through the UN) if they disagree with him, these are not the musings of a rational person.
Personally, I would have invaded but direct to Baghdad and with the backing of the UN.

2. If the Us can use military force without the support of the security councli, why can't China annex Japan?
Japanese TV is turning the minds of Chinese people away from communisim, this is a threat to their society and could be interpreted using the precident set by the Us as justification for war.

3. Yes, but it needs to be backed up with a consistent border patrol

4. The inspections and Sanctions process would have worked had some countries not been disregarding said sanctions (The super gun supplied by the UK for example) in the name of capatilisim.

5. Sovereignty comes from the populace and as for the rest of the question

Sorry if this seems a little haggard but I'm in a rush

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Columnists...885771,00.html

Here is the opinion of someone who was born and raised "Anti-American" all for the war.

Why we should go to war

Julie Burchill
Saturday February 1, 2003
The Guardian

In the mode of Basil Fawlty, I've tried not to mention the war. I know that Guardian readers are massively opposed to any action against Saddam Hussein, as are 90% of the people I love and respect both personally and professionally. But I am in favour of war against Iraq - or, rather, I am in favour of a smaller war now rather than a far worse war later. I speak as someone who was born and raised to be anti-American; I know that, even in my lifetime, America has behaved monstrously in Latin America, Indo-China and its own southern states. I was against the US because, whenever people sought autonomy, freedom and justice, it was against them. But that narrative is ended now and a new configuration has emerged.

The new enemies of America, and of the west in general, believe that these countries promote too much autonomy, freedom and justice. They are the opposite of socialism even more than they are the opposite of capitalism. They are against light, love, life - and to attempt to pass them the baton of enlightenment borne by the likes of Mandela and Guevara is woefully to misunderstand the nature and desires of what Christopher Hitchens (a life-long man of the left) described as "Islamo-fascism".

When you look back at the common sense and progressiveness of arguments against American intervention in Vietnam, Chile and the like, you can't help but be struck by the sheer befuddled babyishness of the pro-Saddam apologists:

1) "It's all about oil!" Like hyperactive brats who get hold of one phrase and repeat it endlessly, this naive and prissy mantra is enough to drive to the point of madness any person who actually attempts to think beyond the clichés. Like "Whatever!" it is one of the few ways in which the dull-minded think they can have the last word in any argument. So what if it is about oil, in part? Are you prepared to give up your car and central heating and go back to the Dark Ages? If not, don't be such a hypocrite. The fact is that this war is about freedom, justice - and oil. It's called multitasking. Get used to it!

2) "But we sold him the weapons!" An incredible excuse for not fighting, this one - almost surreal in its logic. If the west sold him the weapons that helped make him the monstrous power that he is, responsible for the murder of tens of thousands of Iranians, Kurds, Kuwaitis and Iraqis, then surely it is our responsibility to redress our greed and ignorance by doing the lion's share in getting rid of him.

"America's always interfering in other countries!" And when it's not, it is derided as selfish and isolationist. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

4) "Saddam Hussein may have killed hundreds of thousands of his own people - but he hasn't done anything to us! We shouldn't invade any country unless it attacks us!" I love this one, it's so mind-bogglingly selfish - and it's always wheeled out by people who call themselves "internationalists", too. These were the people who thought that a population living in terror under the Taliban was preferable to a bit of liberating foreign fire power, even fighting side by side with an Afghani resistance. On this principle, if we'd known about Hitler gassing the Jews all through the 1930s, we still shouldn't have invaded Germany; the Jews were, after all, German citizens and not our business. If you really think it's better for more people to die over decades under a tyrannical regime than for fewer people to die during a brief attack by an outside power, you're really weird and nationalistic and not any sort of socialist that I recognise. And that's where you link up with all those nasty rightwing columnists who are so opposed to fighting Iraq; they, too, believe that the lives of a thousand coloured chappies aren't worth the death of one British soldier. Military inaction, unless in the defence of one's own country, is the most extreme form of narcissism and nationalism; people who preach it are the exact opposite of the International Brigade, and that's so not a good look.

5) "Ooo, your friends smell!" Well, so do yours. We may be saddled with Bush and Blair, but you've got Prince Charles (a big friend of the Islamic world, probably because of its large number of feudal kingdoms and hardline attitude to uppity women), the Catholic church (taking a brief break from buggering babies to condemn any western attack as "morally unacceptable") and posturing pansies such as Sean Penn, Sheryl Crow and Damon Albarn.

Oh, and we've also got Condoleezza Rice, the coolest, cleverest, most powerful black woman since Cleopatra, and you've got the Mothers' Union, with their risible prayer for Iraq's people, a prime piece of prissy, pacifist twaddle that even Hallmark "Forever Friends" would reject as not intellectually or aesthetically rigorous enough.

So, all in all, and at the risk of being extremely babyish myself, I'd go so far as to say that my argument's bigger than yours. Of course, you think the same about your side. And we won't change our minds. Ever. So let's do each other a favour and agree not to rattle each other's cages (playpens?) until the whole thing's over. Free speech and diversity - let's enjoy it! Even though our brothers and sisters, the suffering, tortured slaves of Saddam, can't. Yet. Still, soon.

the war's already started, what's the reasoning for objecting to it now, bush didn't care what people wanted then, he's not going to turn around now...i will never trust bush's reasonings for anything he does, he's shown no justification to me for eliminating hussein and his sons by waging war on an entire nation, but if he feels america can survive on it's own, i'd hate for him to be wrong...*shrugs* i'm sure america will do just fine fighting against the world...at least i will hope so for my sister's safety...
