is that just the american government? i'll try, but don't become too angry if a news thread gets moved to politics...

It's any government.
Example: If someone put down about how Syria is banning certain drugs, that'd be political since it deals with a government's policies.

yep, and i re-posted it in the right place, you will see it haha.....anyways, it is kinda confusing to serparate this, especially that there is no longer a "World News & Events" board....or is it hiding somewhere? .......... most of what is in serious discussion now is world news and events, and politics (which is being cleaned up). I guess serious discussion will now house world news and events issues?

I think that it would be good to have a sub-forum for world news and events as well, seeing how there is so many of them.

well it would certainly make it small , but it could build itself up in time. Most of serious discussion is world news and events anyways, so would that not be a more appropriate title for those threads?
