Anti-fur activists strip off

FOUR animal rights activists stripped naked on Paris's Champs-Elysees today in a protest against people wearing fur, journalists and bystanders on the famous avenue saw.

The two men and two women undressed and lay on an inflatable mattress in front of a Louis Vuitton store, with only little hearts inscribed with "Yes to love" and "No to fur" hiding their genitals.
The stunt was organised by the US-based People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and lasted just a few minutes in the chilly winter weather. Police did not intervene.

"PETA chose the most romantic city in the world to remind Parisians and tourists of the intolerable suffering endured by animals trapped for their fur. Our Valentine's Day message is 'Love keeps us warm, fur leaves us cold'," one of the group's members who accompanied the protesters said.

He added that similar actions had been staged in New York, Toronto, London and Glasgow.

PETA made a good point
A odd way of doing it tho....

Better than bombing people.

Several news agencies released a notice that PETA had stolen Dr. Aikens medical records by pretending to be doctors and published protions of them saying that he died of a heart attack related to his diet.

Dr. Atkins widow is planning on sueing them and held a press confrence to try and set the record straight. There was so much more publicity for PETA and their criminal activities then to try and correct their wrong doing.

there's better ways to get things done rather than resorting to illegal activities...that's simply making you no better than those you're trying to stop...

They'd have a better movement if they didn't go for the shock campaigns. Some of the things they do and say are just plain stupid. Like this one, for instance:

PETA is trying to make the Green Bay Packers football team change their name. Apparently "Packers" is offensive to animals. And the animals are up in arms about it.

Actually, they do harbor a terrorist group called the "Animal Liberation Front" or ALF for short. These nutjobs have not used bombs yet, their preferred methods have been sabotauge and arson.

While I don't know if PETA harbors ALF, I would say that ALF should be stopped, curbed or in any other fashion halted from the actions it has undergone, lest we develop some heavily extremist morons who like to run around torching people walking on the street who have animal fur on.
