Shit Almighty!

It has come to my attention that Life has an amazing capacity for sucking. If you do not agree, you suck. Simple enough? Life sucks and as far as the culture we're stuck in is concerned, so does Death. We've gotten ourselves past the fact that Life is pointless adn are starting to ponder the point of existence in general. I suspect we will eventually conclude that everythign that is sucks a whole lot of ass. Isn't that just dandy?
It seems that chronically, most folks are manic, depressive or buried in denial.

I would like to know why.

Not "why live?"
Not "why try?"
Not "why be?" (as if we have a choice)

But why the hell does everythging have to suck? And if these folks are so goddamned tired of living, why are they so stupidly afraid of dying? Why make things suck? They really don't have to. People don't have to be killed. People don't have to be lied to.


Let's open with Xul's thoughts on the matter, how about?

Everything sucks because we live in the great vaccum of space. What choice is there? All we can do is search for those things in life that suck the least....

I doubt that such an absolute void could exist that we couldn't simply will ourselves out of by ceasing to be. It is epistimologically impossible!

Unless THIS is meant to be Hell. Which would make more sense, I spose.

Heaven, Hell...I've come to the conclusion that they are one in the same. You are born, and from that point on, you are dying. It is a depressing prospect. I just want to enjoy whatever life I have, and strive to spread as much misery to those around me as I can in one lifetime....No point in keeping it all to myself.

Does everythign have to suck? Or is it just standard fare?

I think everything in life has a sucktitude level. Some things suck very little (true love, blow jobs....), other things suck mightily (life in prison, Teletubbies, etc.) It just depends on which we are exposed to during our lives. All we can really do is try to stay away from the things that really suck, and try to find those things which suck minimally....

So attitude amounts to nothing?

I mean, what if I happen to like Teletubies?

Attitude is huge. Attitude is what allows you to accept things that suck. The longer you defy sucktitude, the less influence it has upon you. Without attitude, you will quickly succumb to the great powers of suck.

And, if you are a fan of the Teletubbies, then you have my condolences....

Well, it's nto depressing, and it lightens my heart whenever I watch it, reminds one of simpler things and all that humbug. Anyhow, what about the people that are scared to die? Why are they so scared?

Fear of death? Personally, I think is due to fear of the unknown. As for me, I am sooo looking forward to the great adventure that is death. Being a pessimistic agnostic, catatonic procrastinationist, I can freely admit, and revel, in my ignorance of what comes after this life...but I think it has to be more peaceful than the tribulations of this existance. If not, then I'm ready for that too. Some people think that this life is all we have, and there is nothing after. This is sad to me. I don't know what is out there, but we are creatures made up of electrical impulses and energy, and physics dictates that energy cannot die, it can only change form...so whatever energy we have when we die still exists somewhere, somehow. Wether we are conscious of this energy or not, no one can say, but we will find out soon enough.

And if the Teletubbies bring you comfort, then kudos to you. Because I don't like them doesn't make it wrong. Hell, I love Twisted Sister, and that causes me not a little ridicule amongst my peers, but it makes me feel good.

Hrm.... Perhaps a steady diet of ascetism half the time and hedonism the other half would solve life's problems.

Life sucks.

For you, maybe, for me, maybe, for the next person...maybe not.

I used to think life didn't suck, and things were great; friends, parties, all that, and now that I think life sucks again; it does.

Heh. I love being depressing; the world seems so much more clearer.

I'm the opposite; When I get depressed, details of things get fuzzy, and it all amounts to one big raging ball of suck.

I love life and all it has to offer.... a unique experience every day... if your life sucks it is because you do..... attitude and bearing are what makes life what it is.....

My life, sniffed by any other rose would smell like shit. But I don't let that bother me.
