anyone seen this thing? it's a pretty cool electric vehicle that is super sensitive to steering controls and can go about 15 miles on one charge (you can plug it into any wall socket to recharge it). do you think this will catch on? right now it's going for $3000, but i'm sure that it will come down in price.

I just read about that...they said it would take over for the car...I doubt that though...looks mighty cold in the winter, and hard to fit a babyseat on it. Or a dog, for that matter. I've also heard about an electric bike...now that looked cool...

i doubt it too, but it could still have quite an impact for short distance commuters in large cities... it could also have a pretty big impact on the environment.

But...but...this one goes on solar power...I don't have to change batteries...and that's a great pluss in my book. There's nothing more frustrating than when the battery dies just before you're...home.

I saw this thing on CNN when they unveiled it for the first time. I remember when the news was abuzz with the announcement about it's eventual unveiling, and how it would 'change modern transportation as we know it. All that hype...
...and it's just a damn scooter. That can go a whopping 12 miles an hour. Wow, somebody finally found a slower way to replace walking. It's just like a bike, except you get to remain in a standing position and don't have to exert your body one tiny bit. Just another way for Americans to become fatter and lazier...although I suppose it could be an incentive to lose weight, if you found you'd gotten so heavy you'd burn out Ginger's motor trying to ride it to work.
