Hey guys,

I figured that among such a group, there are sure to be some Necromancers out there. I would like to see some of your points of view, and perhaps gain some insight on your ways. I want to learn actual Necromancy, for a number or reasons. First off, I would be a much better shaman if I could conjure up and communicate with spirits, while I am awake, and that is truly useful, and two, I want to get over my DAMN fear of the dead. It is my duty to help guide them, as one of Anubis's loved ones (I think I am as a son to him), and I want to fufill my true purpose. But enough about ideals and reasons, I just want to LEARN! I also would like some resources, that'd be great. Websites, books I can by, authors, and people among the forums, that's what I'm looking for. Thanks a bunch! :slayer:

P.S I feel so at home here, it's amazing. For the first couple of days, y'all really have taken me in well.

Personally I dont like necromancy, but there are plenty of sites on seances, and ouja boards, just remember that protection circles or spells are very important.
All you need to do is listen to all those seance stories where the ghost gets lose to know why.

why dont you just ask them.....if you actually want to start playing with the dead just start asking them and if they WANT you anywhere near them they will no doubt reply in one way or another.

taking a somewhat different approach to that normally assumed in necromancy, why not find ways to fetch departed souls into usable physical forms more swiftly than is allowed for by the reincarnatory and maturation-to-adulthood processes? walk-ins, posessions and merges are just some of the options here. in this context a recently signed-up user on OccultForums might be of interest to you, namely "Abadeon" who wrote:

"Note: My religions (Umbanda Omolokô) works with spirits. Our base ritual is get voluntary possessed by them."

Uh....last contact I had with the dead was when they came to me. I'm usually too scared to say anything, and freeze up with fear. I want to do this, because I feel as though I have been called to do so. And of course I'll be careful, you have any idea how freaked out I get when I go into trance? Especially when I know someone or something is there? I mean, that's gotta be the most frightening experience I ever have. But thanks for the help anyway.

Oazaki. Walkins and voluntary possessions? Sounds like the psychopomp to me. Um..Siberian Shamanism I think. That is directly up my alley, actually, you read my mind. I want to get in contact with spirits and then become a psychopomp shaman, well heck, what do ya know that's exactly what I was thinking. I must praise your timeliness Oazi, it never fails...

Ooh, I forgot to tell you. Krystal is a egregore I've had most of my life. She does all kinds of things. Consider her to pretty much be a muse/nymph. I can only see her in my minds eye, but intend to make her materialize one day.

can't tell you much about necromancy, i'm a witch personally, but i wish you luck on your quest toward enlightenment.

on topic, i knew a necromancer once...an amazing guy, if a bit scary in his interests...an analytical mind that could baffle me, but helped me emmensely in the realm of algebra...my half brother was kicked out of his home town for engaging in necromantic practices...mostly in his local graveyards

i enjoy a good spiritual contact as much as anyone...however the thought of dealing with dead bodies is a little...not my style.

Thanks silver. Jordyn, that's an interesting story. I may be a little in over my head with the psychopomp thing. I mean, I freaked out the couple times I saw spirits, and everytime I trance, I flip a shit. However, I feel that it will be necessary, and maybe Oazaki will help me the first time through ::looks at Oazi:: so that I can get over this boundary of nervousness. If I ever want to be a really great shaman, I need to be able to get in contact with spirits without freakin, however, the only time I have had contact, is when they just showed up in my room. That's freaky, I mean, even a normal person...if they just showed up you'd be a little scared at first right?

the sudden and unexpected appearance of spirits still startle me...sometimes they leave when i wake startled...sometimes they just stand and smile at me...sometimes i get a message and sometimes they just fade away *shrugs* spirits...go figure!

The last one stared at me while he was bobbing his head, and I told him to "get out" and :mofo: After a while, he faded away, there were others flying around that didn't take a clear shape. It'll be fun though.

How typical. No matter what forum I go to, I can never escape the people like you, that always suggest a psychologist. If you're suggesting a psychologist, then what are you on Spirituality and Occult for? :lame:
People like that have no business bothering me. So either help me or not. Jordyn, Silverflame, and Oazaki thanks a lot. Just letting you know, but I don't have time for any bullshit, I either learn, or retrogress. Psychologists and doctors are a waste of my time, and they will only hinder my metaphysical progress.
