I know you Libs loather and fear the Christian Fundamentalists (and I share those concerns), but how can you be so blind to the danger from the Islamic Fundamentalists?

The 911 attacks would have been avoided had we been more strict about who we let in our borders.

If we continue to allow hostile populations to freely cross our borders, then its only a matter of time before a small nuke will be carried across the border and into an American city.

I would prefer to have kept Islam contained in the midde east way back when. Its a superstition with a long history of aggression, regardless of what George Bush and the PC brigade have to say.

It seems politically incorrect to mention religions. In Indonesia muslim fanatics have burned down christian homes and churches and mutilated all the nuns and priests. Why can't we call it what it is??? A war for freedom of religion and belief.

I heard this story from a reliable source however I haven't seen confirmation. 50 years ago in Malaysia there was a small militant muslim fantatical uprising. Raids and killings began occuring on a regular basis on christian communities. I believe it was a british squad bought in to deal with the terrorism that finally captured 20 of the raiders. They lined them up against a wall and seperated one from the bunch. They proceeded to dip their bullets in pigs blood and shoot the terrorists.They then sent the remaining survivor back to the his band. He was so terrified by what he had seen that there had been peace in Malaysia for the following 50 years. The reason for his fear (obviously not the death of his kindred)? Apparently pigs blood will contaminate a muslims soul enough for him to not reach the afterlife.

Like I said, I haven't seen confirmation of this story and I don't know if it has been elaborated and I'm not condoning it. I just thought it interesting.

It doesn't matter if this specific even happened or not. This sort of thing HAS been happening since 9/11. If you remember, there was a big media thing about it shortly after the attacks, but it was quickly hushed.

That's the operative word here isn't it?....HISTORY.....we can't keep looking back or we perpetuate the myths. The fact that today, muslin fundamentalists are the aggressors and we need to find a solution. It is not a myth that when a population becomes dominated by Islamic religion and culture suddenly people want to form an Islamic state and government. The problem then being that no other religion has freedom. Obviously you can't 'get rid' of all religions but I hope we will eventually find a solution where all the common factors of all religions will be the basis for society.

i dont know which way to go.. part of me wants to say its a breech in peoples rights and such and its ethically wrong... but the people who are trying to destroy the US are sending sleeper agents here secretly training them here etc etc as in the case of 9/11... but i wouldnt say that thats becuase theyre middle eastern id say its because they were fanatical muslims... in that case though they would have to round up a number of white folks as well,Serbians, Albanians, Macedonians, etc etc.

If you ignore history, then you have no place to talk about politics today. Things that happened a thousand years ago still have percussions today, because people still consider them important. When the Thugees were around, some people wanted to kill all Hindus, or stop them from coming into the country. When the Boxers were around, no one wanted the Chinese coming into the country. Religious fanaticism springs up and burns itself out, and it happens in all religions. So that being said, I too would like to see a World where all religions have equal oppurtunity- a World more like the US. Unfortunately, whenever we suggest that other countries let their people worship as they want, we get accused of opression, the dictators who rule these people complain about US agression, and then a bunch of fat hippies in their fifties driving SUV over here start complaining about how we're pushing our views on the rest of the World. There's also the bizarre lack of desire by our government to even WANT the rest of the World to have freedom of religion. I'm not sure why our government shows no interest in this, but they don't.

I agree that action should be taken, but with careful consideration for what effect a course of action might have. If we go in there guns blazing, bombs a' dropping, steal their oil, and leave them with another shitty tyrannical leader. They will hate us even more. And those who might have been neutral toward the US will find many compelling reasons to consider us another enemy and a threat.
