For those of you interested in mechanical engineering, technology, or anime, this is a sad day. Mechanized Propulsion Systems has cancelled their ambitious project to have a commercially viable mech on the market within 25 years. I have been following MPS's progress for quite some time now, and just last week, they were still working on their facility. Now today, without any precedent, they've decided to terminate the project. God. Damn. It. Wait a second. Isn't today April fool's day!? I swear to god, if I visit their site tomorrow, and the news for the day is "APRIL FOOLS!" I'm going to scream. I can't belive that didn't occur to me earlier. Let's just wait and see...

Good one Well, it's somewhat ala robotech, but much more rudimentary; it was planned to run off an internal combustion engine, and it would not be able to transform. The MPS Mark I is not *intended* for warfare. The Mark I was (is?) a "proof-of-concept" model, expected to be finished in a few years. Later models would be well-suited for construction, mining, etc., but plans for those will not commence until the Mark I is completed. Check the link, the graphic on the main page is the proposed design for the Mark I.

i sent it to him...he's so obsessed with those type of machines that his handle is LordIVD(short for invid)he loves robotech, right down to having an rpg concerning it...*shrugs* he's the techy. I did find this interesting however
