Well if it helps the limits aren't really noticed anyway. Because you take them for granted.
Like why did you have to get rid of it? Because it cancelled out any positive energy, that was the only real "limit" it placed on your enviroment, the rest were just the effects of having it around. And you got rid of it without even thinking about it.

actually i didn't like the environment...it'd get too scary and overwhelming sometimes...that's why now i've just put it all on a back burner and wear lots of hematite and amethyst...i think i'm a bit on the opposite of limits...there is no control..

Ah, well I don't believe there is control either, limits is a convienent term, because there is no other tht fits it as well. How else do you state that creation acts like creation, destruction acts like destruction they work against each other... the unverse doesn't fall apart...its all balanced like so.
But any way its all essentially academic, and it becomes even more convuluted when you add in that the universe is paradoxal.

Why amethyst? I wouldn't think that stone would be good for protection, hematite energizes so I can understand that, but Amethyst?

it's actually more for prevention i believe...ask fero, he suggested it, and it works...i did have one person who claimed to be a psychic vampire state it blocked him from my energy *shrugs* besides it's really pretty...

Well there is more to it than that. Like Creation must create because it is its nature, destruction must destroy, both work together, true, in balance, but this does not mean they dont oppose each other.
I think you think I mean "enemies" when I use the word oppose, when I actually mean it, in the nuetral term, Like "two kids on opposing sides of a seesaw."

On the laws thing, the entire multiverse is made from energy, everything from a star, to a chair, to an emotion. It's all just energy vibrating at different frequencies, the adherance to the laws of nature comes from keeping the same vibrations, keeping reality stable (most of the time).



Lillith: On the subject of "talking about magic on the net", just because other sites promote the discussion of magic doesn't mean it's right. And magic is so much more than spells, incantions and evocations, magic IS being discussed on this forum. The fact that it's going on between people that may know nothing about eachother makes it worse, at least if you're in an order or coven you know something about the other person, this forum is like a "magic drivethrough".

With the saturation of magic theres no increase of wisdom or knowledge going on, it's simply turning reality into one big fashion statement. Slipknot kiddies becoming weekend wiccans and wannabee vampires, it's like a "meals on wheels" service for the darker magic users out there that feed on these types of people. Fattening the pigs up for the slaughter, it goes on every day in so many goth and alternative spaces around the world, and with sites like these it's going to get worse.

Just to interject, Amethyst is the perfect stone to wear! It corresponds to the 7th chakra because of it's colouring- so highly spiritual. It's a great stone for protection during dreamibg too and has the ability to calm a stressed disposition. The majority of the Quartz family of stones are generally used magical and healing purposes. Hematite is a also a very healing stone and a very powerful grounding one too!

And what makes it wrong exactly? There would be your weekend witches regardless, thanks to Hollywood and the misconceptions the media pumps at the masses all the time. All of life is magick, every living breathing moment is an act of creation, it's alchemy, and it’s transmutation, life evolving... It's all magick and we do it every waking moment sometimes without realizing it. Yet there is more to it than that!! Focused "magick", actions and reactions, will and intent. These are very fundamental things and form the basis of all magick/magic. I don't wish to make something integrally part of being alive cloak and dagger, which incidentally caused so many innocent men and women to die at the hands of the Inquisition, it IS for all! I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of oxygen, it is my right to breathe, and I believe it is the right of every being to live magickally. As with all things Spirit, one needs to acquaint oneself with all the knowledge and go through the process. Just as I can look at a Yogi and Buddha and feel them to be further along the path of enlightment, than someone who has forgotten his sense of Spirit and merely is fixated on the 9-5 and money, food, cars, and whatever else distracts him/her from remembering their true essence. We are all on different levels of evolvement, and by saying that I am not saying that is a judgment; it's merely an observation. One can draw distinctions without making a judgment on it. And I do not agree with not living freely... Life is for ALL. And I believe Life IS Magick, therefore, Magick is for all too.

And I too think all deserve to know whats going on (if of course you're prepared to give up some of your life to properly show them) and all people are equal, just some are more equal than others. Not everyone is as "awake" us others.

Frozen, you're overlooking the posibility that "weekend magic" ( I like that one) might be how magic finds somebody.
I bet if you ask everyone here they'll tell you completely different ways that magic found them.
Myself, it was through something similar to weekend magic, but not on my part, someone directed something at me but if it wasn't for idiots blundering around in the dark I'd be in a totally different place now.

As for using balance to explain limits (this one is mine )

Balance doesn't reinforce the arguement fot limits, infact the opposite.

Imagine a simple see saw, each side appears to be limited by balance, if one gets longer or heavier then the balance is lost...

However, because the balance exists, both sides can actually grow to a limitless length or mass, as long as they remain equal and thus balanced.

Balance actually removes the posibility that opposites can cancel each other out therefore removing the limits.
