"Maher Hawash, an Intel software engineer whose detention in Oregon prompted high-profile protests about civil rights abuse, pleaded guilty [yesterday] to a federal charge of conspiring to help the Taliban in Afghanistan," the Washington Post reports. "In return for his promise to testify against six other Portland-based suspects accused of plotting in 2001 to wage war against the United States, federal prosecutors dropped more serious terrorism charges against Hawash."

This case is noteworthy for two reasons. First, Hawash had a lot of advocates who loudly declared his innocence. The Free Mike Hawash! Web site is still up, though it hasn't been updated with news of his guilty plea (indeed, the latest news on it is from May 6).

Second, Hawash and his alleged co-conspirators are from Portland--a city whose police department notoriously announced in November 2001 that it would refuse to cooperate with federal terrorism investigations. Let's hope there's some rethinking going on in the Beaver State.

Sure there are good people in the muslim world. But there is a war going on, a clash of civilizations. I have named names, posted photographs, and named sources to show the collaboration of the Left with muslim terrorists since the 911 attacks. You people were pretty much caught red handed with this Portland incident, and yet you still persist with your B/S.

There is a evidence indicating that Lee Harvey Oswald was a fall guy and that pictures of him holding communist papers were doctored.

Evidence also indicates that Sirhan Sirhan was brainwashed and used primarily as a distraction and that R.F.K. was actually shot from behind by an unknown assailant. Possibly a Right-wing rent-a-cop by the name of Thane Eugane Ceaser who hated the Kennedy's. His clip on tie is the one visible in the famous photograph of the dying president being comforted by a busboy.

Those are some wild conspiracy theories, the facts are that Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, and James Earl Ray are the convicted killers.

Facts are facts, Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist asssassin. He was very supportive of Fidel Castro and he even lived in the Soviet Union for awhile.

James Earl Ray was convicted in a court of law on the assassination of MLK. There are alot of conspiracy theories around it, but settintg aside the wild speculation. James Earl Ray is the killer.
Of course I got to say that its quite remarkable how MLK lived as long as he did what with the Ku Kluxers all around him down south. Most of whom BTW were generally Democrats and supporters of The New Deal.
If James Earl Ray were involved with the "Invisible Empire", then maybe Democratic Sen. James C. Byrd would know something about it. Its public knowledge that the Democratic senator was a member of the Klan.
