you could be right ? how long can they hold the information, i think it's a x number of years the have til hold it cofidential, but i doubt they are going to admit they killed him .. or something like that ..

In 30 or 40 more years they'll be releasing all of the papers that relate to the JFK assassination to the public... or so they say.

It was a combination of the FBI/CIA working with the mob. This is why:

Kennedy won the election over Nixon, only because Joe Kennedy(who made the Kennedy fortune bootlegging licquor during prohibition) bought votes with the promise John backing off on the mob once elected. Instead, he appointed his brother Bobby to crack down on them when he finally was elected, thus double-crossing the mob.
He also was in the process of shutting down the FBI and CIA, as it was his opinion that they were rogue organizations who had way too much power, and had few people to answer to. He wanted all investigations, both domestic and abroad, to be military only, thus putting thousands of people out of work, and putting all his eggs into one basket, which would not be remotely safe for the American public.
These two factions combined to form a two-sided coin, which was his downfall. One does the damage, the other has the power and means to cover it up.
