These chips are fairly easy to remove or even destroy while still within you. I would not think this would be a striking success. However, implanting every human being with a NON-unique beacon of sorts, could be beneficial. Burglary would be... harder with the proper detectors, rescue workers would have a signal to home in on ect. ect.

I read a whuile back, about a couple who had microchips implanted in their arms...they were terst subjects of some sort, those chips sent signal between each other, so that the two could feel each others emotions...I think. It's been a while since I read it.
