Does spells or rituals really have any effects ..... ?

They do, if you know what you are doing. The spell in itself isn't magical, it's the user who gives it power.

Can you explain and give examples of few "easy" spells ..........?

If you wish, try and create your own spells. That which comes from your own mind will most easily be used to set your mind to act on your wishes. The spell itself, and it's components, are irrelevant. Yes, some are recurring, such as the circle of the elements... They have been in use for ages and they provide an easy way to convey to your subconcious that you seek to interact with it. But the interaction itself is no different without that circle, as are it's effects.

So define a desire. Then define a procedure to attain that desire. And execute that procedure.

Please don't tell me that you are one of those people who were watching some movie with magik in it, and decided that it would be "cool" to be able to do magik so you went on the net and KBLAM you ended up here pestering us???

When curiosity draws one to ask questions... Why not? It is not "pestering" if the questions are genuine. Or would you withold knowledge of any sort from people who seek it...?

I agree with Aeternus there, there's no need to jump on a guy because he's curious...

If you want simple spells, I suggest the first thing you try is shielding...it'll come in handy later. You should never attempt anything without a good shield. I'll leave you some links here.

I tired a healing one when I was 14 or so, but I didn't wish for anything, and nothing seemed to happen.

I'm not surprised. Without a desired effect... There's no point. It would be like going to a store without wanting to buy something...

it's a state of mind, i always find something to buy...

but still dosn't it piss you of that it has taken some of us years to find this stuff out and he just wants imediate answers?
i mean if you just tell him a spell then he is already there whereas if you make him find out for himself then he will have a deeper knowledge of how he got there

Define effects?
As if you mean you got what you wanted, then yes.
There are many differnt views on where power (magic/mana) comes from, such as: Nature, satan, oneself... Stuff like that, since I cannot awnser the question, I would say if you are being mislead by what you think is powering you then you didnt get your effect. Its a matter of personal belief, and yes, magic works, its just not simple.

heres a true story.

every birthday for a few years i went to a sci-fi store called Forbiddon planet international, but it was miles away from where i lived. then i go on a uni trip, board at the exabition i wander teh streets and find another Fobiddon planet.....i walk in and satrt chatting to the girl behind the counter who (by chance) comes from where i do and knew what i was talking about. i say to her, you know i dont know why there ISNT a shop like this local to me, the entire North east of england was ignored. i go home and wish, asking teh gods and goddess. four weeks later as i feel i should be loking for work a mate rings me......"did you know they are opening a forbiddon planet international in the boro", my home town, i went and got my part time job before the manager was given his. i later discoverd that they were considering an entierly differnt town, they had even started to move in when they found out at teh last minute the show was dodgy.....which made them suddenly turn to my home town.

i did the same thing before the xmen toys came out...before ANY superhero figures were out, only that time when i did my spell i also rubbed a bronze buddhas belly...and now you carnt move for the bloody figures.

spells work...but as long as you get what you want.....who cares, just make sure to thank whoever you asked

It probably means you were either too prideful, too ignorant or too selfassured to have never asked someone. Hell, if you want to learn math, you take math classes. If you want to learn spells, learn from someone who knows the score. That way you're less inclined to make misstakes too.

im not saying that i've never asked anyone else for help it's just that he came on here saying.....



we have two choices here
1. give him exactly what he wants, then he realises that he can get what he wants just be asking
2. give him a gentle nudge in the right direction tell him where to look and even give him the names of a couple of books, thereby leting him know that he can find what he wants just by looking and trying for himself.
