As Bruce Lee once said, "Nowadays, you don't go around kicking people or shooting people, because if you do, someone will pull a gun out of their coat, and *bam*, that's it."
Crime and murder have been around literally through all of human history. We have a better ability to understand it now is all. People want to go back a "simpler" time not for innocence or peace, but for the illusions of them. Let me wake you up.
You will never, ever see a world free of violence. Ever. Ever ever, ever. Accept that people will try to kill each other. Don't talk about some utopian world that will never exist; offer some sort of relevant suggestion for making
this world better.
The biggest difference between firearms and knives, clubs, fists, rocks, and all the other implements that people used to more commonly kill each other with is that guns at least give everyone more or less a fair shot, instead of leaving the smaller and weaker unequipped to defend themselves if they needed to.
