So it was announced: Al Gore will NOT shoot for the Democratic Nomination for President in 2004. Anyone suprised? (I wasn't really, only slightly.) So does this give Democrats a better chance in 04? Or does it make it worse?

that would be insane...and i think it's a scary concept...now peope will have to accept who the democrats choose, and no distinguished democrats come to mind...maybe the antichrist is the republicans and we've just assumed the antichrist would be one person all these years...now that wouldn't suprise me!

I don't know that he would, but yes, its very hard to find a prominent democrat to run. Though, I'd never heard of Clinton when he ran...then again I was only 6 or 7...but still...

i remember clintons first time running...it was my first year to vote...it's never been quite the same

I do think he made the right decision, though. Democrats are too divided over what happened the last time. He might not win due to that...its fresh in the minds of everyone.

It's ironic how humans are social animals but we lose our ability to function in large scle societies.
For example, I get along totally well with the members of my extended family (with the exception of an aunt and my father).
Once you get out into the big wide world however social order is in a state of perpetual collapse

Nah, I think Gore would be doing much better than Bush...

If nothing else, at least Gore wouldn't be bent on destroying the world...
