I've been occasionally worried for Billy lately, thinking perhaps that in his self-waged war against Sixgun he would make himself as bad as Sixgun, if not worse. "In fighting a monster, we must not become monsters ourselves" and all that. This thread has convinced me, however, that Billy would still have a long way to go to make himself quite as willfully ignorant and vapid as Sixgun.
When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.
