Oddly enough I've noticed that Neo-conservatives fit the criteria frighteningly well. http://www.remember.org/hist.root.what.html de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

Funnily enough, this covers the British Empire. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

So, those neo-nazi fascists who make up all those anti-federal survivalist militias in the southern states of the US - they're all socialists really then?
I'll give you a dollar if you go up to one of them and tell them that. Hell, make it $10. And have someone film it from a fast car a long way away for me. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

It seems odd than that the Nazi's also practiced genocide against socialist groups namely the Soviet Union against who many terrible attrocities were commited.
You have clearly not learned a thing from history. Adolf Hitler was a master demagogue who used the widely supported idea of a socialist revolution by claiming that he would bring an era of socialism in order to help gain power over the German populace. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura

Darth Denalay. Has a nice ring to it. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

The Nazis knew who their real rivals were, and exterminated their direct competition the way a mafia family wipes out a rival family.

Economic parallels can be also drawn between Nazi Germany and the current administration.
Nazi Germany adopted a populist but unsustainable economic deficit that allowed it to appear all things to all people - this is why perfectly credible comparisons can be drawn between both socialist economic systems and ultra-capitalist systems. Meltdown was only ever averted by annexing and invading other countries and grabbing their reserves to tide the country through to the next invasion.
The Bush administration had adopted an unsustainable economic deficit that results in growth but which, without spending cuts, will actually increasingly weaken the economy and the dollar's pre-eminent position. Now, I don't personally believe that the invasion of Iraq bears many parallels to Nazi expansionism, not least because it will take a great deal more than Iraqi oil contracts to dig the US out of its debts, but it does make one wonder.

The Bush administration had adopted an unsustainable economic deficit that results in growth but which, without spending cuts, will actually increasingly weaken the economy and the dollar's pre-eminent position.
Key phrase: "results in growth." It is not clear what will happen, but pro-growth policies increase the economy's strength, thus increasing tax revenues. This is classic supply side. Note that everyone was saying the same things about Reagan 20 years ago and John F Kennedy 20 years before that: you can't lower taxes in times of increased growth of government! It's counterintuitive, you have to raise taxes!
Yet the lowered tax rates spurred growth and tax revenues increased. After Reagan's tax cuts, there was no reduction in the size of the federal budget at all, yet the US went from deficit to surplus just due to increased revenues. Now, I don't personally believe that the invasion of Iraq bears many parallels to Nazi expansionism, not least because it will take a great deal more than Iraqi oil contracts to dig the US out of its debts, but it does make one wonder.
The Iraqi war and aftermath are guaranteed to cost the US far more that it ever recoups. That'sa because this isn't "conquest" but rather liberation. The US paid money to fight the war, to reconstruct the country, and unlike actual conquerers, will not plunder Iraqi oil. That's why the prattle about "imperialism" is nonsense. The US liberates, then leaves. We do not annex.
