Women are just as likely to commit any of the Seven Sins as a Man. The only difference between the sexes is that Men think logically and Women think linearly.

There are multiple differences between males and females... Functional and Physical, as well as Mental. Physical: The males are built stronger, less endurable but more robust. Females are built with less strength, as they did not really need it.
Functional: Whereas men tend to seek solitude more, women tend to (no offense) "herd" a bit, seeking comfort in large numbers. Especially in situations where (di)stress occurs this holds true.
And mental, well, you stated that one already.

Still, it holds some logic that "god" as an omnipotent being is depicted male. In reality, an "omnipotent" being is without sexe, but for the followers without large creative thought, this concept would have been too far fetched. So make him male or female? Back in ancient times, the choice would have been easy: "God is strong. Must be male."
It does not make much sense now...
