Just from reading in the poetry section too much I wanted to see which emotion each of you thought is the most powerful from these 4:

Love
Hate
Pain
Fear

In my opinion it is fear. Or it could be pain

It changes on my mood really thats why I wanted to see how others feel. All of them can consume a person or even lead to death.

pain, since we can feel varying amounts from the miniscule to the vast in the remaining three options... pain is universal and can be coupled with all said emotions... because of this, overall, it is the winner (or loser as it were...)

Love is the strongest in my opinion.

Most peoples greatest fears center around the people they love. Whether it's losing them, keeping them safe, whatever...

You risk pain, anytime you do love someone, and will accept pain to keep it from the people you love.

Hate is the opposite of love. To quote an old cliche, they're two sides to the same coin.

Yes hate and love are the most common thought of sides of passion.
Fear is a major controling factor in people`s lives and pain is the only one that can be produced on a physical level as well as emotional.

for me its pain....like for instance...i'm hurting right now because i'm so unhappy and mostly consumed by sadness...its still there and won't go away no matter what i do. i really try to hope but its there...it might be the problem for my chest pains. it hurts.

but if u'll notice most of the driving force behind pain, is fear.

automatically i would have thought love would be the strongest, cuz love never fails and love conquers all. but hate is the same thing as love, just on the flip side of it.

pain is strong, but there is always reasons why the pain is there....it can eventually go away.

so i chose fear as the strongest. its because everything we have...emotions, physical, whatever, is rooted from some form of fear. it takes ALOT of courage to conquer fear....and then it will always come back, whether it be from another reason or not.

Really? then consider this: self destructive people have very little fear, pain is a way of life for them and the self-hatred that it can bring. Think of the best way to solve their problems......a rise in self esteem or self love as some would call it.

yeah but wat makes u so sure that the little fear they do have is wat makes themselves self destructive and not know it? everything has some sort of root that makes it grow....
this is just my oppinion...

that was a hard one...love can make a person do the most incredible things...but if there are too many obstacles, it will weaken and die...i dont think love is strong enough to endure in the long run.

hate is a powerful force indeed. and it has a habit of growing stronger, reproducing itself, so to speak. hate can drive a person to go way beyond his moral and physical limits.

pain is paralyzing...the best way to fend off a mindreader is to inflict pain on yourself, that emotion will overcast any other. but it doesnt last. try pressing on a bruise...at first the pain might be excruciating, but then it ceases...you get used to it, and dont feel it anymore.

fear can be paralyzing as well. but driven into a corner, even a crippled and weak dog will attack. in my opinion, the borderline betwen fear and desperation is very thin. the base of fear is the natural instinct odf self-preservation, and thus i think its a little on the side here...

i think ill go for hate.
