I believe when you are born you know everything you need to know. As you get older you are led to belive you don't because society tells you you don't know anything unless you go to school. I wonder what would happen if you were to raise a kid on a deserted island with no one to tell he or she that they don't know anything unless they go to school. Would he or she already know everything? I think schools a money making scheme set up by the goverment.

I, for one, believe in the "clean slate" theory. The theory that when a child is born, it has no knowledge at all, only the instinct of hunger. What happens next is learned.

Interesting theory. I'm inclined to believe that a newborn child wouldn't be knowledgable because its brain has not grown to its potential complexity. On the other hand, one could use child prodigies as a source against this, perhaps they are the ones who haven't been corrupted by educational boards?!

I certainly think that school has its downfall, the encouragement of being text-book-style-robots and forbidding of individual perception is peturbing indeed. But as far as being omniscent at birth is concerned, I'll have to do some thinking

Extending on:
At the time of birth, while the brain is a "clean slate", it has already been preconditioned thru the genetics of parents.
In particluar, aspects such as Behaviour and Emotion.

I believe that we are born with the knowledge of the world in ours heads..
Then we open our eyes see the physical world, and start learning the wrong things..
As we get older, we start unlearning the false truths we were taught..
And around the last hour or so of life(natural death, not accidental) we remember all that we knew at the moment of birth..


Thats why old folks die peacefully.. they remember...
