What 'cause of what??', the higher concentration of alcohol in water?
Anyway alcohol is considered a depressent. Maybe it's how people handle depression. example: they either cover it up by being funny and playing the fool or they get angry about it and take it out on everyone else.

i don't think alcohol works like that, i mean i know it is a depressant but i thought that it was only present with long term effects, such as alcoholics being sad.....anyway, i just happen to love depressants and alcohol sometimes makes me depressed, but usually i just have a grand ole' time when drunk, except i tend to reveal everything about myself.....i told my dad once that i kissed a guy, he wasn't too happy

Lots of people get more affectionate when they drink. I usually only like my brother when he's had a few.

It could also be that it brings out emotion from our subconscious. The emotion lying on the fringes of our self perception rears its head. It's usually pretty raw emotion that comes out and a bit primal.

Maybe alcohol just makes us dumber so we revert to only a basic, uncomplicated single dominant emotion.

actually, yes, you can.... At least i have on numerous occasions...

Hmm, have stopped numerous barfights, and had the drunks create new friendships that lasted outside the bar scene!!!

Hi nice to meet you...I'm a mediocre drunk...pretty much my mood stays exactly the same..the only difference is "Yes I Can jump that Bollard!" ..and the falling and brokeness etc..

It's mostly psychological but psychology is based around behaviour caused by your neurons which are of course physiological..alcohol is a deppressant which means it suppresses neural activity making you stupider (also making you more suggestable and easier to please) synapses fire slower so reactions slow and speach slurs etc.

As a suppressant it also stems the flow of endorphins the brains natural mood lifters which can make you deppressed and moody but it also relaxes you...in truth your mood becomes extremely delicate so if a situation occurs a normaly very controlled person can act out of character and become angry.

The main rules are..don't drink alone and don't drink to forget..if you are already in a bad mood drink isn't going to improve matters just as smoking doesn't help the nervous.

I like Jim Beam and Coke.
